How can I get paid as a co-writer of a shit-show like this.

That must be the dream. Imagine your workday, director asks "ok what's next?"
Writer 1: hm... he figures out that ******** and then the plane crashed, he got stranded and slowly acquired some sort of illness, and then slowly loses his sight and hearing and speech!! so yeah, we have another 8 episodes for BS before they know some truth. But he recovers.
Directors and producers: Genius!!!
Nielsen Korea: yup.

The skill needed to f~k this up and make people want more (50 eps) BS and then rank first in Nielsen Korea, is a mystery.

Acting is SUPERB.

I skipped some parts from ep 22nd to 28th, but still able to get the gist of every episode.

Target market I think are Ajummas. Mom can't be happy with 16-20 episodes of drama, she wants 50-100!!! there's just not much stress in her life she wants 100!

My kdramas are only those with 16-20 eps (except Empress Ki). Mom always asks after we finish a 16-ep series "that's it???"

AHHAHAHAH what do you want ajumma?! It's happy ever after!

Mom: too short.

Story: Messy. Cliche buffet. You don't want all the cliches in the world in one drama.
Acting: SUPERB
Music: Meh. It was ok, but only emphasized how boring the scripts were. It made scenes longer and more insufferable.
Re-watch Value: OH PLS DON'T. *Zero. This is not Empress Ki, I watched that 4 times!!! And will still watch in the future.

Has become lazy and excruciatingly stupid

I tried writing another comment yesterday but for some reason did not appear so I’m back. I need to vent out my frustration in this drama. Minor spoilers ahead.

First of all, let me just say that the kids are now carrying this drama on their backs. They are the only reason now why this can still be enjoyed somewhat. I used to rate this drama an 8.5 to 9 until episode 17 then it all went downhill. I now rate this a 4 at best. 3 for each of the kids and 1 for Dan Dan’s hardworking dad. The rest can just go to hell now.

The writer is just throwing cliches now which makes me think she ran out of creative juices. This whole amnesia subplot could’ve lasted a good 3 episodes which should have led to the Chairman realizing how strong his feelings really are for Dan Dan but it just dragged on unnecessarily. I am also inclined to think that the writer thinks her audience is stupid and will just take whatever the crap she puts in. The antics of the bad characters have been accompanied with quirky background music as though we are supposed to take it as something funny but it’s just wrong in all accounts. I need to see those women get severely punished in the end of this would’ve been just a total waste of time.

The rest of the characters have also been lazily written now and have been made excruciatingly stupid and naive.

To make it worse, the writer just had to put in that dance break on episode 23 which coupled with this overused amnesia plot just makes it all the more stupid.

uma completa bagunça

Comecei assistindo achando que não ia ser nada demais e realmente não foi. Tudo o que você imaginar acontece nesse drama.

Amnésia? Óbvio.
Identidades falsas? Sim.
Falsa gravidez? Também.
Crianças abandonadas? Tem 2 e uma perdida.
Acidentes? Vários.
Amnésia (de novo, pq uma que durou uns 10 episódios não foram suficientes)? Com certeza.
Doença terminal? Claro que sim.
Muito choro e gritaria/briga (em TODOS os 52 episódios)? Claro! Por que não?

O elenco é bom, mas os roteiristas colocam muitas situações complicadas não só pro casal principal como pra todos os outros personagens. Todo mundo tá envolvido com tudo, todo mundo é ou vira parente. Foram mais momentos de sofrimento, dor, angustia, briga, chororô e raiva que momentos felizes. MUITO cansativo.
Pra resumir, a série é uma completa bagunça. Acho que era pra ser uma história muito boa, mas foi muito mal elaborada.

Good for a one time watch and to pass time while getting frustrated

Okay this started off good. But most of the characters are selfish yet portray themselves as a victim or "having a reason". No having a reason doesn't justify whatever they do. Especially Ms.Jo the secretary and the FL step mom. The step mom plays the victim, i understand that she saved Soo chul and Dan Dan but didn't she also got mutual win in that? Like soo chul helped her raise Dae bom as well. Soo Chul helped her with all financial ways, if not for him what would have she did as I had never seen her work (ofcourse i appreciate the household work she does) but if not for him what would she do for money? She always demands him for more and keeps playing the victim also subtle favouritism for her child. Everytime Dan Dan is missing she isn't bothered but for dae bom she cries like anything. Also Ms. Jo she doesn't even have basic consciousness she justifies everything "for the sake of kid" i really want to see her getting paid back for all the bad stuff she does. I can keep ranting on all bad stuff she does. I hate that character from the bottom of my heart and she doesn't deserve the love from dad Dan's uncle.

Will be back after i finish. Continuing only for Dan Dan, Lee chairman and cute kids.

Great show, ruined by cliche

This was honestly a great show for the first 15-16 episodes, there was some iffy parts of it, but the main parts were wonderful. The introduction of amnesia, annoying but manageable. Amnesia lasting now like 9-10 episodes is beyond too much, I haven't watched a full episode since the amnesia was introduced and I don't plan on it till its gone. I fear the show has been far beyond tainted and may not be able to redeem itself. What was a 9-10/10 is now like a 5/10 and could go lower.
Sucks that someone thought that A.) Amnesia plotline was a good idea and B.) Has dragged it out this long. And its like people lose all reasoning now, maybe a close friend of his should be like, "hey you weren't about to marry that person before your amnesia." but no that might be logical.

Surprisingly disappointed

Wasnt gonna write a review as most viewers had written what i was thinking, however as i continued to watch some things just proper bugged me like that sara woman i mean how desperate is she to put lie upon lie to try keep a man that has no romantic feelings for her whatsoever, i was embarrassed for her no shame at all,as for dan dan what a gullible so an so she is girl u are way too pretty to be mooning over some cant make up his mind jackass.
The storyline was pisspoor i mean ok main lead lost his memory and went back to being 22 but then to get his memories back bar the ones when he thought he was 22 and be in a sham engagement, huh if he went back to before he lost his memory wouldnt he have known he told that sara no this aint happening im with dandan so why keep to the engagement.................made absolutely no sense at all.
Could not take the mistress she plain got on my nerves,stupid begger no shame.
Dandans dad was just way to soft not suprised where dandan got her gullibility from,his wife and her family were just plain watless disgusting the way they use money and people the only ones i kinda didnt mind was the son and the niece the rest are just plain wrong.
Hmmmmm dandan biological mother woman are u literally taking the mick,how do u walk out on ur family, dissappear for years then come back and try take ur ex husband and his daughter from their actual family no matter how bad they are come on thats just bad mind jog on love lol.
Rest of the people i didnt really pay attention to they were just there tbh ,absolutely loved the kids they were the best part of this long ting drama the youngest crying did my head in on some parts but all in all they did their jobs pretty good.
I wouldnt watch this again for the simple fact that not only did some of it make no sense and could've been scripted better but it was way longer than needed.

This gets a bit too dragey.....

I was waiting for months for this drama to air. But to my disappointment this is not as great as i thought it would be. The plot really pulled me in,uk i really like ceo and girl romances but this one is getting to lengthy...and the leads never seem to be at the same pace
Something or the other always hets in between. Even after half of the drama is done and they both know they have feelings for each other but they still dont get together (properly) and i still didnt get good sweet romance scenes.
I usually do not drop a drama...so i wanna wait till it completely airs and see the ending first, if its a good and happy ending i will probably start it again....

A nice slow burn love being born

A lot of people maybe will think this drama boring or very slow for a family drama, and probably will drop in the middle of the way, but for me who grow up watching Brazilian soap opera with more than 180 episodes, this drama has a nice timing for everything.
I am still annoyed with the FL family and her father needs a wake-up situation for his wife because this can't continue, no matter if she saved him and FL before, right now she and her family are just parasites.
The kids cast are just out of the world, they will have a very nice way in the industry because they are so talented, it is not easy to find 3 of them on the same drama...

Dragged on

It starts off well but with 52 episodes it just drags on. The worst characters are the parents... all of them. You think Dan Dan's dad is o.k but eventually his colors show but he's not as bad the others. The worst characters are the two step moms, the one for the ML and the one for Dan Dan. They are both all about money and self preservation. Dan's step mom is awful, someone who immediately plays victim when she's confronted. I wasn't sure if we were supposed to like her or not because her methods are tame compared to the other step mom. Man the other step mom is all kindsa crazy... entitled for no good reason and looks down on everyone. Oh and there's a LOT of times when these parents will disapprove of any relationships in this show. So if you hate when that happens in a kdrama I would stay away from this because half the show is trying to get parents approval.

The rest is two cases of amnesia, abandoned kids, cancer and a pregnancy. Pretty much summed it all up. If this show wasn't 52 episodes it would be a whole lot better. Characters wouldn't come off as too stubborn and could actually be redeemed, but because these characters more or less do the same thing over and over it just gets frustrating to watch. I actually skimmed through certain parts because It was basically filler. Like another, lets try persuade them to let us get married scene takes place and again the parents are against it. A lot of this show is like this. Just repeats itself in a way and none of the characters actually grow or learn anything.

The headline is dragged on and that's the main issue with the show. Starts strong but just becomes frustrating to watch. When it finally ends its the usual predictable stuff. The leads end up together as per usual and all, and I can honestly say I did not care. I wouldn't say it was a complete waste of time, I liked the beginning but everything that happens after the second round of amnesia was just... a headache.

Oh and some of these characters talk to themselves waaay too much. It's done for exposition but it just comes off odd and funny... It happens frequently enough for you to be like... "who is he/she talking to?".

I don't think I'll take anything away from the show but I am wary of the longer kdrama's now...

Best drama to make my days beautiful during lockdown.

Firstly, The story is pretty good. NOT BORING at all. Just a more detailed story. So the sceen can be a bit boring for some people.

Secondly, the acting was superb. Every cast tried their best to beautify their role.

Thirdly, I finished rewatching this drama in 2022. But i still listen to that drama's ost. All songs are my favourite.

Fourthly:if you didn't understand the story, you can rewatch it. This drama has also some beautiful moments. You can rewatch it.

Overall, This drama made my boring lockdown days beautiful. It is one of my favourite drama.

TOO LONG

Firstly this kdrama was just too long. The story was also bad, becouse when FL and ML got finally together he lost his memories and it went all again for like 15 episodes. When he finally got his memories back he did in the past some mistakes and becouse of them they could not be together for another 15 episodes and after all that they were finally together forever.
The age gap in story was just too weird becouse they talked about FL like she was some baby and he was old grandpa. When he lost memories he lost just a few years so he was about 20 and it made me feel really weird and i lost interest in ML.
But if i don't count these things then it was not bad, not bad even though I probably woudn't watch something similiar anymore.

Long but was… Ok could have made the script shorter and better.

This one is a hard one for me. I really REALLY wanted to love it from beginning to end. The storyline caught my interest but sad to say it sort of lost me. I will explain some of the reasons why in “Storyline”.

Storyline - was a bit long and drawn out. The constant get-together-then-breakup drove me NUTS! So much could have been taken out. Sarah was a selfish woman and had not put the best interest of the children ahead of her own selfish desires. The memory loss bit could have gone away. It was unnecessary! (Memory loss is so over used it really needs to be ditched! It is getting old and boring!) So was her “I’m pregnant with your baby”. Come on! Get real… eye-roll! I do like how he did get his memory back and kicked the bad witch out. Was a great scene! (I do have a bit of wicked side to me lol and I was so loving this scene). But… Seriously can you stop writing so many dramas where the parents are over-protective/controlling to the point it is nauseating!?? The dad constantly going on and on about sending her to America was old right from the get go. The birth mother was selfish and so was her father. What he did to his wife and wanting to “stay by the ex’s side till she got better. Oh please let me do this this once!!” I give the wife high marks for wanting a divorce! It was not right the way he acted/treated her over his ex. I was shocked and appalled by his attitude.

So much of the heart ache could have ended if the two selfish parents would have just butted out of their daughters life. The daughter is an adult for crying out loud! Let her make her own choices! To many of these dramas are that way though! It is really getting old. I could sit and pick this drama apart but I will stop here.

Other than those hang ups… I liked most of the drama. I am glad they did not wait until the last 5-10 minutes to get them together. The story IMO could have used some polishing and made it a shorter drama with a better storyline.

Acting/Cast - did a great job. I really did like the main leads and hated those that were against them lol. So for me they did pretty well.

Rewatch - 50/50 for me. I liked it BUT there is stuff I mentioned and stuff I did not that might keep me away. We will have to see.
