Mediocre but unique in a way.
Watched this series because of the massive amount of good reviews and I must say that it didn't disappoint.Story is pretty much a typical university enemies-to-lovers trope but the leads' chemistry really gave justice to their characters. Their cuteness makes you anticipate the next episode. The last episode is really satisfying with that domestic scene but will also make you beg for a second season.
If you're going to watch this, don't get too realistic or be so logical about it because it's really just a feel good series that will make you smile.

The BEST Korean BL EVER!!!
Despite being only 8 eps, this series was able to deliver as a great BL in general, but also top all other Korean BLs!Even though the series takes place in college, don't be fooled! The storyline, characters, acting, quality, and everything else were fresh, exciting, and perfectly executed! Most importantly, the actors' chemistry was what really sealed the deal for me. Who doesn't want to see two beautiful Kpop idols fall in love? Another nice touch was there were several LGBTQIA+ characters including the main couple. Each episode was also able to keep me hooked and invested without getting too complicated. Overall, I would recommend this for anyone looking for something youthful, lighthearted, romantic, artistic, and simple.

One of the best K-dramas I've watched, if not the best
Most BL dramas I've watched, I rate them a 10/10. This one is no different. First of all, I feel like they've really improved with the kiss scenes; past Korean BLs (for example Color Rush) have only one kiss scene and they barely touch lips. But this one as well as To My Star and You Make Me Dance have really good kiss scenes.Another thing is the very fitting title. I'm not sure if they meant to do it, but I feel like the title is a play on words (in a way). My brother pointed out that 'semantic' kind of sounds like 'romantic' which is fitting since this is a love story. But the title also fits the theme and storyline of the show.
I binge-watched this in less than a day, it was really addicting. I love when the two main leads have a height difference, for some reason I find it adorable when the smaller guy stuffs his face in his bf's chest while they're hugging.
Anyways, I highly recommend watching this.

FABULOUS
Well I am so sad this one is only 8 episodes but I can honestly say I loved every minute of every episode. The two main leads have palpable chemistry and their slow burning love for one another is beautiful to watch grow. The story trips along at a good pace. Nothing toxic at all! Side characters are good too. Story doesn’t stick 100% to the Manga but it was never going to as a Korean BL. So the really”saucy” bit from the Manga is not here. However it doesn’t suffer because of it The couple of kisses you do get were beautiful to watch.
I am no expert on cinematography or production so I will not comment on that.
I loved the music, it was brilliant and have downloaded the OST!
So, if you are looking for a quick watch love story, no toxicity, perfect chemistry, then this is for you!
Go watch it, I promise you won’t be sorry.
Park Seo Ham is also drop dead gorgeous ♥️♥️
Enjoy! I certainly did!

Korean bls are REALLY improving. Like, Semantic Error has a really high quality production and cast, and i have no doubt we will be getting another full length kbl! Fingers crossed this year. I still remember the day kdramas used to joke about being "gay" and seeing them make bls, i am proud of how far they have come as a society, atleast the entertainment industry.
The last time i loved a bl this much was Where Your Eyes Linger.
I feel so sad now that it is over ?

Semantic Error...where the true error is how obsessed I am with this KBL
Semantic Error, what more can I say about this KBL? Let's start with my expectations for this drama at the beginningTo be perfectly honest, I was really skeptical, and I didn't pay much attention to this drama. During the early development and early announcement of this KBL, I was skeptical, they were holding votes/casting calls for the male leads, and it felt like it wasn't going to be "good" to say the least. But oh boy am I glad to be wrong. To this day I still wondered what the casting/vote was for but I digress.
Let's get out of the way with what they did right...basically almost everything.
‣The Characters
Seo Ham and Jae Chan were so amazing in their respective roles and their chemistry on-screen and off-screen were so memorable, I haven't felt this way about two actors and two characters ever since Light on Me. Their intimate scenes didn't feel awkward and it felt really comfortable as if we were intruding on two love birds minding their own business. Watching some of their off-screen interviews and their interactions with each other definitely sold me the show and kept me invested. Seo Ham and Jae Chan just took everything to the next level and really made these characters come to life from the manwha while adding their own twist and elements to their respective characters. The side characters were also amazing, especially Kim Noh Jin's character (Ji Hye) and Song Ji Oh's character (Coi Yu Na), they were amazing and didn't feel unnecessary to the story, both of them had a purpose and it was amazing how they gave Ji Hye closure at the end of EP 8 to wrap her entire character arc.
‣The Technical
It's a common theme of KBL's to have lower sound quality design and shoddy camera work, especially for shorter episode counts but I was actually so surprised with this KBL. The camera work was amazing and it delivered so many amazing cinematic moments that it felt like a truly cinematic experience, the sound work was a little bit weird at times, but not such a glaring problem that during my first watch-through I hardly noticed it, it only took me about the third watch through to actually pay attention and notice sometimes the audio quality would be quieter than other moments, but overall the audio and camera work was spot on 10/10.
‣The Story
It's also a common theme of KBL's to rush through a good slow burn story just to deliver on fan service, but Semantic Error did it completely differently. They executed the enemies to lovers trope so well that it felt believable as to why Jaeyoung fell for Sangwoo in the first place. It was well-paced for all of the episodes and didn't feel like any episode was unnecessary filler/clutter. All the episodes were important to the overarching story and it didn't have any unnecessary weird side character arcs.
Now since we got the good out of the way...we have to go on to the bad...
‣Nothing
The only "bad" thing I could think of about this drama is that I wish we could've seen more T-T at the end of EP 8 I fell hard for this couple and I wanted to see so much more since they played the domestic dynamic so well and it was so adorable that I wanted much more, like 8 more 1-hour episodes more of just them being cute boyfriends to each other.
‣Closing Thoughts
It was amazing, 10/10 one of if not the best KBL stories so far (Light on Me is still up there) the story was captivating but I think the one thing that carried this BL was the directing and Seo Ham and Jae Chan's chemistry on-screen and off-screen, they just have this intimacy between them that is so very addicting. Hoping for a season 2 after Seo Ham returns from his military enlistment. I would like to thank Watcha and the entire cast and crew of Semantic Error for developing and creating this incredible KBL that is a huge step in the BL industry for Korea, and I wish Seo Ham good health during his military enlistment and good luck on his future career as he has already signed on with an agency right before leaving for his enlistment. And I wish good luck and good health to Jae Chan who is working very hard for his comeback with Dongkiz, I will be supporting them both.

Loving the details and change!
Since this is an adaptation of a novel, I could say it's not perfect. It lacks most of the details due to the short airing time. Nonetheless, the 'key' part captures well. It's packed without feeling stuffy. I love how they mix and match scenes to make them appropriate but still marketable. Again, I see it as a whole new story inspired by the novel, so I think it's an upgrade. The actors and actress are doing their job with a bunch of chemistry. Even though some of the scenes are kind of awkward, it's bearable and suits the context. The ost and background music are AMAZING! In some, it'd be better without one, it's unfortunate, but I don't mind it. Also, not entirely sure, but the song 'can you stay on Ep. 8 sounds different, either the lyric or the pitch. Whatever. So far, there is nothing big of a deal that would turn you down while watching it.
Lastly, I appreciate all of the production staff involved. I'm enjoying the show a lot. Especially for every detail put to the thought, It's pleasant to see a new standard have made for the upcoming K-BL. I have already rewatched it thousand times, so no doubt!

SO DAMMNN ADDICTINGG!!!!
PLOT: Ok so i don't exactly know what in this drama is not good....like if we see the story it has a very common plot...the same college love story...the college hero falling for the college nerd....haters to lovers...so in short the story is just the same as any other bl plot...buttttt i don't know what the hell kept me so gripped with this drama that even if this was so predictable i justt kept longing for the next epiodes for the whole time.....MY OPINION: Moreover there were some moments that just have my heart because of which i've already rewatchwd the whole series for 2 times already....like the head pats:))))) and also i loved hiw they usee the warning before touching each other....god i'm dying....the best thing was that when sangwoo rejected jaeyoung's two week proposal....jaeyoung gave some space to sangwoo and unlike most plots didn't go after sangwoo stalking him or something like that
AND THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN BOTH OF THEM JUST KEPT ME HOOKED WITH THE DRAMA
Also the advise given by choi yu na was really good and one of my fav lines from the series...also the time when sangwoo said that jaeyoung was the only one who could make the desing for his game:))))) no words mannnnn!!!
So overall the drama was very good and i didn't find a singleee fault in the drama...so this is gonna be one of my fav bl dramas uptil now....uhhh i dont know why this ended so soon but tbh the pace of the story was also real good ot wasn't unnessarily lengthy
OST: Coming to the ost it was another factor that i loved about the series..the ost went with tge scenes so fucking perfectly man just hooked with the ost as well
CAST: I think the cast did a fab job their acting was actually flawless for me and the way jaeyoung looked at sangwoo was another woooo factor ( like butterflies in the stomach)
ADVISE: whoever you are or whatever preference u have i would just like you to try watching this once and i think you're gonna like this as well....:)))))

Korean BL game is stepping up STRONG.
Ever since watching Where Your Eyes Linger and To My Star, I've been excited about new Korean BL content. The production quality, the chemistry- it's all fire and just gets better with each one I've seen (I'm not looking at Kissable Lips).I've not seen/read the web series for Semantic Error, so I'm stepping in with fresh eyes and making my own observations. I think the chemistry between both leads is l i t e r a l l y palpable. Like, laser-sharp. Gives me body tingles when they touch each other or get near each other. They do not suffer the curse of the wooden Korean BL actor, in fact, it's very obvious how comfortable the actors are in their roles, especially in watching the BTS of the series and of them together during their press tour. They're so cute together.
Park Seo Ham has one of the sexiest voices I've ever heard. That slight rasp is intoxicating as is his height above literally everyone else on the show (he looked actually GIANT in the bar scene against the Quickyst jerk the way he leered down at him - it also made it so much funnier). I love the storyline and the conflict that arises between them. The argument scenes are believable and even there, the chemistry is overwhelming. Once Jae Young realizes what he wants, he doesn't back down and doesn't wilt. I love that. There's no questioning his feelings and he's blunt about it without fear of homophobic backlash (I also spotted that gay pride flag in his studio!). There is no running away for him and he isn't afraid to hit the root of the issue to force Sangwoo to be honest with himself. It's so refreshing and electrifying to watch. I loved this series! They've set a high bar for anything else coming out this year.
"Don't avoid it. Don't ignore it. Just try and feel it."

Rafraichissant
A découvrir !
