Nice, low stakes watch
I wasn't a fan of how in episodes 2-3 Jaeyoung was literally harassing/stalking Sangwoo, but when Sangwoo started warming up to him the show became addicting and I binged it. Then in episode 7 Sangwoo started being stubborn and distant and that really bothered me tbh. I understood he had trouble expressing his feelings, however at that point there wasn't a good reason for Jaeyoung to crush on him so hard to the point where he would give up his dream school for him. Besides all of that, this is an overall good BL; I'd recommend it, it's not life changing or the best show ever but it's solid.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

This is the perfect BL series (rare spoilers)
I'm not joking when I write this - this is the perfect BL series, and the best one I've watched. Even though some people will dismiss this review as being biased and written from a perspective of a fanboy, I'll still write the following TLDR - every aspect of this series is done flawlessly and I'm here to dissect it for you.Let's start with a romance. The story's premise is set around the trope that I don't necessarily enjoy: enemies to lovers. I guess my fascination for this show is partly due to the fact that they've taken a trope I'm indifferent toward and done such a good job that it blew my mind. To that I say - fair - if the series had managed to make me take interest in something I previously didn't like, it should be praised. The number one reason why this worked really well is that it is devoid of any subatomic shred of toxicity. While, yes, Jae Young was tormenting Sang Woo for a few days, I argue that it was more playful than anything else. Wearing red clothes and buying all coffee from the vending machine is miles away from verbal, physical, mental and sexual abuse I'm at this point nearly accustomed to. Nothing of the sort occurs here, and the playfulness quickly turns into adoration, which leads to a blossoming relationship between the two.
The characters are very interesting and multi-dimensional. The way Yu Na has a chokehold on my heart as a person is insane, and she's just a side character! These actors have done such an amazing job at portraying these characters, they feel like actual people I would hang around with. Of course, that is also part to the very well written dialogue. Also, we see their virtues, their flaws, what ticks them, what drives them... It's all there for the viewers to soak in.
When it comes to plot, I say this is quite a simple plot, but it's pretty well done. The standard three-act structure is there, with moments to keep you on your toes at all times, wonderfully intertwined with the character development and, of course, romance. Everything feels remarkably plausible. There wasn't a single moment where I yelled at the characters making stupid decisions or at the left-turn external obstacles which make absolutely no sense. Short, clean, concise.
Overall: If there's only one BL series that I could watch for the rest of my life, it would be this one. Please, don't have doubts over watching it. On the other hand, I hope I'm not setting too high of an expectation for you. In the end, this is a live action series of 8 episodes, 25 minutes each, so bear that in mind when watching it.

I'm obsessed but I don't mind
Well... this was my very first bl drama. And now there's no way back haha. This just got me so obsessed and you've got my gratitude, people who have produced Semantic Error. This series is just so so good, I honestly have nothing to critique. Okay yes, maybe that it was way too short. More or longer episodes would've been nice. :'( Or a second season? Maybe? Please?
Must watch in my opinion! Great and unique, creative story, amazing actors and actresses, very very well done and delivering all the feelings so well.

Good, considering it’s a short drama
-Overall review: It was a cute, quick watch with 8 episodes consisting of 28 ish minutes each., your average enemies to lovers college setting love story-Pace: a bit funky, they only specified once how long it had been in between episodes; At the beginning where I thought it had been weeks, it turns out it had only been a couple of days.
-Chemistry among the leads: it was cute, average… nothing that necessarily stuck out
- Conflict: it got me confused at the beginning, however after understanding what happened, I managed to better watch the show.
- Character development: it was all right considering how short the show was.
TL;DR: average drama, yes I recommend watching and you do get invested, but it won’t stick out as a favorite.

Rewatched it & Still So Good!! 10/10
I just watched the movie (basically same thing) & it was so good to see this drama again!Plot: perfection. It’s so simple yet, engaging and novel. I like how it’s a decent lengthened plot line so you can binge it all the way through in a day if you wanted and you don’t feel like there’s too much missing. I really hope for season two once Seoham (who plays Jaeyoung) is out of the military!
Acting: I love their acting and chemistry sooo much—I really think it’s some of the best out there and it’s just perfection!!
Overall: This is my favorite Korean BL after watching MANY. You need to watch it and you can thank me later before you go watch it again :) haha

Korean School BLs Hit Different
Let me just gush about "Semantic Error" because Korean university BLs are on a whole different level compared to Thai university school BLs, and this series proves it. The distinction between Korean and Thai BLs adds an exciting element, especially when we don’t have to suffer engineering students, which we see too often see in Thai BLs. I mean, seriously, where are all those engineering degrees when it comes to adult office BLs? Seriously, ugh!And can we talk about the two fantastic BL tropes in this series? The enemy-to-lovers dynamic and the height difference between the characters are simply perfect. It's like they knew exactly how to tug at my heartstrings! I even read the unfinished webtoon before watching the series, and I must admit, I was a bit apprehensive about the adaptation. But boy, did "Semantic Error" prove me wrong! This is one of those rare instances where the series surpasses the webtoon in every aspect.
Chu Sang Woo, a junior computer science major, is all about reason, rules, and doing what's right. His life takes an unexpected turn when he decides to take all the credit for a group project after his teammates abandon him. This decision unwittingly affects Jang Jae Young, a design major and the college's superstar, whose academic prospects are now in jeopardy. As they are forced to work together, a strange attraction begins to blossom between them, leading to an engrossing and emotional journey.
Despite being a short series, "Semantic Error" is brilliantly executed. The acting and chemistry between the actors are top-notch, making it one of my all-time favorite Korean BLs. Every time I rewatch it, I wish I could experience it again for the first time. And if you're a casual watcher, you might have missed some added scenes from the movie version, but as an avid fan, I appreciate every little detail.
In conclusion, "Semantic Error" is a delightful gem in the world of BLs, and its captivating storyline and outstanding performances make it an absolute must-watch. If you haven't seen it yet, you're in for an unforgettable treat.

Trial and error for love.
Wow. I’ve watched this short series several times now and keep enjoying it to the max. It excites me very much, makes me happy.I can write here that this college setting, opposites attract and hate/love situation is nr. ‘1 million’ in the South Korean BL series market, but I don’t care at all.
The casting is well done. There’s a continue in character development, from both ML’s. The lenght of an episode and the amount of episodes does not hinder that. The acting feels natural, there’s a great amount of chemistry. They carry the series. I’ll start following their carriers.
I do like their studie directions, it’s refreshing. I like that both characters are clearly gifted, thought each of them from a different base (creative vs systematic). Please don’t read the behavior of Chu Sang Woo as autistic spectrum. His personal growth is to big for that, I know from a professional view.
The setting is small. Probably for budget reasons. I think it’s part of the vibe that you get. It all felt relaxed and intimate.
The real OST is actually small. I like this 2 main songs.
The story actually asks for a second saison. I will watch this saison again.

I enjoyed it
I like how Chu Sangwoo starts coming out of his shell for Jang Jaeyong, and Jang Jaeyong changes for him too. I don’t like the lack of communication, something between them would have been better if they would just say what they want to (mostly with Chu Sangwoo). I’m glad he finally opened up at the end and revealed how he really felt. I’m also happy the girl who like Chu Sangwoo finally understood and gave in. overall it was a nice story and well put together, It was funny and made me laugh a lot.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Perfectly done!
I don't watch a lot of Korean BLs since they tend to be so short, but after all the hype over Semantic Error, I had to check it out. I gotta say, it lived up to expectations.Sangwoo is planning on making a video game and he's got all the skills to code it. Unfortunately, he doesn't have the graphic design talent to make it happen. He decides to work with Jaeyoung, a talented artist, to get this game developed. Sangwoo is annoyed by Jaeyoung to no end and tries to fire him, but Jaeyoung is persistent in his pursuit of Sangwoo, and not just because he wants to make a video game with him.
I loved both of these characters. They're both so different and so perfectly portrayed by the actors. The whole plot is done so well and I don't think there's anything I could comment on to change besides the fact that I wish the series was longer. Even though it was so short, they managed to pack in character development that was perfectly placed within the storyline. Overall a fantastic watch with a lovely relationship.

Maybe its a me thing but...
I seem to be in the minority on this one but I actually didn't really personally care for this series. The acting was great and you could really tell that everyone gave it their all while behind the camera. I also enjoyed the unique story/plot that was presented within this series. But for some reason I just couldn't really get into it. It could be because I personally didn't find either of the leads likeable, or just wasn't that interested in seeing their relationship develop when it was already so much of a struggle for it to start.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
The series haven't got any twists and turns
I loved the series and watched it four times. The first male protagonist(Park Jae-Chan) was very good because he really seemed like a computer man and how he changed emotionally thanks to the meeting of the second protagonist.
The second protagonis (Park Seoham), however, showed me the change in the boy's maturity.
When he fell in love and realized he was truly in love, he transformed her into an adult.
It's very difficult to make the audience understand these changes so the two actors were excellent.
