A musical movie or a music video with added dialogue?
If you have the choice between the series and the movie, then watch the movie. It has several scenes that are missing from the series and round out the story. What I liked:
* I loved the two female characters! They did not have much screen time, but showed some interesting character traits nevertheless. The team leader is obviously under a lot of pressure to produce music that sells well, is a real career woman who can be ruthless at times, and at the same time she seems to want to produce good music as well. The deputy is similar, and she does care about the people who work under her, at least Sang Yi. It is a delight to see women who are people with their own ambitions, even if they are supporting characters.
* I liked Lee Sang's acting. He did a good portrayal of his crush in the beginning and his shyness to speak to In Soo.
What I did not like:
* The story was thin, very thin. The premise has great potential for more, and it's saddening to see that it wasn't developed more. On the other hand, it was a good decision to not put too much into the short time frame.
* The lighting was at times a bit too much on the mood lighting side.
* I wish the scenes the singers would actually sing what we hear, not just be shown as a bautiful backdrop to the music.
I am torn about whether there was too much music with pining stares and montages or not. On the one hand, it is nice that the story took its time to unfold -- and it is about two people who fall in love with each other's music first, and then with the person. If there was less singing, I would maybe have complained about that.
On the other hand, those scenes took away time that could have been used for more plot or character development. Sometimes I fellt like I was watching a music video with interspersed dialogue.
You can watch it if you have some time on your hands and can use a pick-me-up, but you won't miss much if you don't.

A sweet but not yet complete love story
I did not watch the series, and also did not know there were added scenes to the original story, when I watched this. I think this a beautiful, short and simple love story. After watching the movie, I read some bad reviews saying that it lacked character development. Another review said there was no conflict in the story line. I somewhat disagree. I think the conflict emerged at the end of the film (both guys may be questioning their feelings) and therefore I am hoping there will be a sequel to this one where we get too see how their love relationship develops.Yes, we don't get to know much about Sang Yi's background (family, friends, past love affairs), but does it matter? We also could only guess a bit about In Soo's past, when his manager shared about In Soo's character to Sang Yi. Then we find out that his father was the CEO of the company (I had already sort of guessed that In Soo came from a wealthy family, who for some reason left home). Bu it didn't really matter to me not knowing much about their backgrounds, and this would be the very reason why we need a sequel to this movie. It had a happy ending, but I'm curious to know how the main leads continue with their lives.
I loved the music, especially the theme song, I found out that both actors are singers in real life and they recorded the music together. This perhaps explain why the chemistry between In Soo and Lee Sang (Sang Yi) was s great. I also think Lee Sang brilliantly acted his role as a closeted gay guy who was kind of shy, or uncertain about his own feelings. All those awkward moments, like when he saw In Soo passing by on the street, and he chased In Soo who was in a cafe, and the scenes in the company, where he wasn't sure whether he should enter the studio or not, knowing that In Soo was there, was probably something everyone experienced when having a crush for someone else. And in this particular story, it's about a guy having a crush towards another guy. Lee Sang brilliantly expressed the confusion a closeted gay would get when attracted to another guy, especially one who remains mysterious, ambiguous and enigmatic like In Soo. The subtleties in their interactions were really what made this movie interesting, like the casual hug at In Soo's place, the physical closeness they showed while singing together, and finally the kissing scene and the awkwardness they both felt after the kiss.
I liked this movie, even though the story was somewhat simple. The music also helped build the mood to make this movie a memorable one. A sweet, yet not yet complete, love story.

Beautiful song
I watched the movie version, and I heard it has more scenes than the series version, so that's a plus. The story is simple and good, the actors are great, overall this show is great. But, the thing that stands out the most is their song. I LOVE their song to pieces; Wish You by Kang In Soo and Lee Sang. That first scene with them supposedly singing together is just breath-taking. I've been listening to it for a month now, sometimes on repeat for hours and I still love it. It is just beautiful and make me feel happy and in love.

Fulfilling many things missed in the series
The movie is worth to watch, even better to watch it after watching the series. In the series, everything happens to fast, that many things, e.g. the chemistry, the reasons behind of why the Agent let In Soo does what he wants, etc. were lacked. However, in the movie, everything was there. Those added scenes with more details make the movie more meaningful.
I think Korean makes very good BLs (Mr. Heat, Where your eyes lingers, Wish You): great story, good storytelling, excellent acting, not-too-much-drama, good cinematography, ...
Very much recommended you to watch it.

Such a cute movie!!!
It's been a while since I last watched any gay movies and I have to say, this one was SO ADORABLEI decided I needed to watch it ASAP after watching the trailer, which was just Yoon Sang Yi running while Kang In Soo sang this beautiful romantic song. I absolutely adored the acting and the little glances and moments both mains gave each other. The story isn't the most creative or even plot-driven but I don't think that's the point of the movie. I felt it was more about the characters meeting, their interaction, the music, and just inspiring each other. And all of that was done beautifully

Wish For You...
This verison felt more complete to me really, I got more into the story without having to wait a week just to have a bit of it each time. The extra parts made it worth the rewatch. The actor's chemistry as before was just as good, if not, better shown here. Also the music like before was still beautiful. I would definitely recommend it to people and rewatch it when I'm in the mood for a sweet story with no tragedy. One thing this version made me pay more attention to as well was to Kang In-Su's friend Min Seong, the care for In-Su by his friend spoke differently to me this time around. I don't know, might've been overanalyzing it haha. Anyways, great movie, highly recommend.

It was Amazing! That's it!
I didn't watch the series version since I saw this on Netflix, but I'm so glad I finally watch it! The story wasn't clear for me at first but then I realized where it was going and I have to say this was so heartwarming of a movie. The development of their relationship was so cute and I liked how they never really mention that either one of the characters was gay or not. The only point deduction on this was the story behind InSoo's dad like that man was never shown but still meddle into stuff and we never had a conclusion on how they ACTUALLY will deal with it (signing in a rooftop doesn't help). Also, the music!!!!! It was SO GOOD iI have the OST on repeat on my playlist, I really liked how the actors were actually trainees and knew how to sing it made it so much better! Really recommend!Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Simple and Cozy
This movie has been on my watchlist for a while so I decided to give it a shot. I thought the attraction between the ML's was great and there were some small funny scenes that made me laugh. This movie is a good watch if you want something simple and enjoy BL. I personally found myself bored at certain parts but the ML's had good chemistry and there were some moments that I screamed at because I was scared about what was going to happen or because of the tension. This movie had a lot of potential but I do think it was overly simple, however its a good start, and I hope it leads to more scripts for tv's and movies in Korean BL.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

Love of Music
Here's another Korean romantic story that is packed with music and love that began with attraction at first sight. Whether it was the smile or the voice, who knows?I've watched the series of this movie and it really left me hanging. I felt that there was something lacking in the story.
Attraction at first sight? With that smile and voice? who wouldn't?
STORY: 10/10 A romantic story that began when Yoon Sang Yi saw Kang In-Soo busking and being filmed. I don't know if it was because of the smile or the song. But clearly you will see that Sang Yi was enthralled by In Soo just by his facial expression. The storyline is average. It shows a glimpse of what a singer or an artist would go through before they are given a chance to debut and a fan who wants their idol to succeed. It also talks about what a parent can do to stop their child from doing what they think is out of the question.
ACTORS/CAST: 10/10 Chemistry between the two leads is there. The way that they look at each other is enough to show that there is something brewing within. Their acting skills may not be that strong but I think that they were able to act out their characters well.
MUSIC: 10/10 The music is so good. It's pleasant to the ears and hypes up your emotions. It's very fitting for the movie.
REWATCH VALUE: 10/10 I'm a sucker for this kind of movie. I've watched the series multiple times I'd probably watch the movie more because I didn't feel anything hanging.
OVERALL: 10/10 I love the movie version more than the series. I was not left hanging. I better understood what was going on between In-Soo and his father. The ending was complete and the storyline ended with In-Soo not giving up and asking Sang Yi to be with him for a long time. (This is my perception from the underlying meaning of his words in the last part)
