SÓ O ÚLTIMO EPISÓDIO QUE ME CONQUISTOU

O contexto da história é tudo de bom.

Mas para mim o enredo pecou algumas vezes nós episódios.

Para mim era um casal principal, dois casais secundários (um hetero e um homo) e claro a vilã! Que não pode faltar!

Os assuntos abordados nessa série foi magnífica, a vilã querendo subi de qualquer jeito jinto com a mãe que é uma cobra!

Uma mãe que ensinou a filha que o dinheiro é o mais imprtante do que o amor! Onde muitas famílias ensina seus filhos esse lema!

Um filho que se esconde no armário, faz tudo que os pais querem, até mesmo se prejudicar, para que a mãe não sofra com o erro que cometeu! Aí entra o dinheiro e não o amor!

O final dessa série me deixou nas nuvens, o casal protagonista não ficaram juntos, mas fizeram um jogo entre eles, o casal secundário hetero, também não ficou junto, pois so o rapaz que ama, a moça tem um amor de amiga! Mas o casal homo, não curti o final, pois um deles não aprendeu a verdadeira realidade da vida com o dinheiro , pois a moça poderia sofrer com as conseqüências do pai e da mãe dele, mas a família dele tinha que sair ilesa dessa situação que eles mesmo fizeram! Ainda deu um show de raiva em cima do pai!

Para mim a série foi um pouca lenta por ser um drama com ação e romance!!!

Everybody Got Played

Starting with “Cruel Intentions” vibes, we are introduced to siblings through marriage, Tim and Giwi. Giwi’s mother was the owner of a gentlemen’s club that is connected to the main drama, Tim’s father is on the verge of death and after he passes a fight starts over a holiday house that means a lot to Tim, but was given to Giwi who is not willing to give it back to him at least he helps her in her plan to marry a politician’s son who is in a long term and apparently perfect relationship with Eve who is the owner of a clothing line named “All About Eve”.

Unfortunately for “The Player” what could be a great revenge plot story crumbles with an unpolished script and a message that falls short.

Miriam’s character is extremely important for the story, her choices move the plot, her disappearance start off the drama, she is supposed to be an intriguing yet flawed character, an anti hero of sorts, but in the end a lot of her choices don’t really make a lot of sense and don’t seem to directly impact her enemies as much as it makes people that care for her and would be willing to help suffer.

It’s a very convoluted and unsatisfying revenge plot. I could not root for Miriam, because she was too bitter and victimized. She couldn’t admit her faults without being cuddled by other characters reaffirming that she really did have a hard time and everyone else was mean. I much enjoyed Giwi’s character arc and motivation. Namtan was perfect in the role, in my opinion she gave too much more than the story deserved.

Matt was such a hard character to read, I wasn’t really sure if I should or not root for him, but the story was very forgiving with him, Mek gave a good performance and had a good arc only sabotaged by Foei limited acting skills. The story is very female driven, women are at the center of everything and the men are tools used to move things (and bodies) around. I thought Inspector Tin was such a pathetic character, his love for Miriam guided all his actions and errors, he was the most miserable of them all, losing just to Dan. Mickey ended up being the wild-card and I was surprised by Drake’s performance, the script wasn’t giving him much, but when it did he delivered. Pitch’s mother is the ultimate self-sacrifice and the one who gets shit done, she and Giwi were going at the same speed from opposite directions and to watch them clash made it worth watching.

Maybe too long, but mostly enjoyable. The performances cover where the script lacks, most of it.

Um dos melhores que já vi

Com certeza uma das melhores série que já assisti! Um roteiro de milhões, que com certeza deve ter tido uma direção magnífica pra entregarem um resultado desses.

A série é uma crítica ao "submundo das pessoas muito ricas", mostrando o que são capazes de fazer por dinheiro e poder, trazendo muitas situações à tona, e sempre, não importa qual o personagem e o erro que está cometendo, deixando claro que existe um contexto de vida que o levou aquele momento, óbvio que isso não justifica os crimes, mas humaniza os personagens e até nos faz criar uma certa empatia.

Todos os elementos de um drama estão presentes. Existe romance, vilã desesperada por dinheiro pq já foi pobre, traição, relacionamentos tóxicos e outros saudáveis, prostituição, personagens gays se escondendo no armário, herança, dívidas, manipulação, chantagem, vinganças, tudo isso encadeado numa teia perfeita, que resulta em um final inesperado para todos. A cada episódio um fato novo surge, fazendo com que nossa perspectiva mude, nossa opinião sobre os personagens oscile.

Como a vida não é perfeita, os casais não ficaram "juntos", mas a verdade, amizade, confiança e respeito voltaram a reinar. O casal BL foi o que mais decepcionou, mas as atuações foram de milhões! Ost perfeita, fotografia excelente.

Não é o tipo de série que vou ver de novo, mas realmente gostei muito e super indico.

Everyone is evil

The thing i took away from this drama is that there was nobody i could really identify with. The character Giwi is the worst, but just about everyone and their dog has an evil streak and/or is an opportunist. The only one who was at least a little likeable was the cop Tin (Tay Tawan). But, for an inspector he is surprisingly gullible to the real character of the girl he is in love with. This drama is a parade of bad people. Spycho's criminales, corrupt politicians, blackmailers, murderers, entitled heirs et cetera. The people who we should believe are in love do nothing that convinces me they are and because these are very good actors (Mek, Foei and Joss) this is most likely due to bad directing.

Don't get me wrong, i never considered dropping it, and I enjoyed ranting at the screen a lot. The acting was mostly on point and I enjoy watching these kind of dramas . it's just that this as not as good as some others I have seen.

An excellent adult series from Thailand, time-consuming, full of tension and in which I literally bit all my nails. The director invited some of his favorite actors from the 3 Will Be Free project and there are no more illogicalities, shootings and murders in the story, which I acknowledge with gratitude. No BL, but a thriller, a drama with a gay component, beautiful actors and actresses, from the cream of Thailand. One huge scumbag, surrounded by other scumbags, scumbags and cheaters. Intrigues such as you can hardly imagine, where Mexican or Turkish soap operas or tons of crime drama series on Czech televisions and retired actors, who always solve everything, dig into this story. It had a gradient, gradation and some well-known actors from BL projects (Dan, Tin, Mikey, Fight) or even real gays (Touch-gay friend of Eva's father) can be seen. All the characters are played very well, the main gay couple is Pitch and Matt, and another gay couple of supporting characters - Eva's father and his friend - plays an important role in the intrigue. I didn't expect to be so engrossed in it, I recommend it more to those who are looking for fun, suspense, adult concepts and don't want teenage Thai schoolboys walking the corridors in shorts and school uniforms.

Výborný dospělácký seriál z Thajska, časově náročný, plný napětí a u kterého jsem si obrazně ohryzal snad všechny nehty. Režisér si pozval některé své oblíbené herce z projektu 3 Will Be Free a v příběhu již není tolik nelogičností, stříleček a vražd, což kvituji s povděkem. Žádné BL, ale thriller, drama s gay složkou, krásní herci a herečky, z prostředí thajské smetánky. Jedna obrovská mrcha, obklopená dalšími mrškami, vyčuránky a podvodníčky. Intriky, jaké si sotva dovedete představit, kam se hrabou na tento příběh mexické či turecké telenovely nebo tuny krimi seriálů na českých televizích a vysloužilými herci, co vždy všechno vyřeší. Mělo to spád, gradaci a vidět je některé známé herce z BL projektů (Dan, Tin, Mikey, Fight) nebo i skutečné gaye (Touch-gay přítel Evina otce). Všechny postavy zahrány velmi dobře, z těch hlavních gay pár tvoří Pitch a Matt a dále důležitou roli v intrikách hraje i další gay pár vedlejších postav - Evin otec s jeho přítelem. Nečekal jsem, že mě to tak pohltí, doporučuji spíše těm, co hledají zábavu, napětí, dospělé pojetí a nechtějí náctileté thajské školáčky chodící po chodbách v kraťasech a školních uniformách.

Underrated, Beautiful, Fascinating as heck story

At first, I was skeptical about watching this if it would be any good but I am so glad I did. In the beginning, I kept comparing it to Manner of Death, not because of the BL element but because they are both psychological thrillers. Mind you, Manner of Death is beyond amazing but The Player is really good which is why this gets a 10 in my book.

I fell in love with the clothing. The rich people style is a dream to achieve, honestly. Almost all the characters were so beautifully dressed that it was pleasing to the eyes. They really showed the contrast between the rich and the poor. Social class difference was one of the main themes of the series. No matter the way you get rich, whether you are born into it or married into it, money and power really do change a person and from there on all they care about is their image on how to maintain the rich status in society.

The acting was phenomenal. All the actors did an amazing job and it was really captivating to watch as the series unfolds and we get to see the backstory and how they came to be in the story. I kept thinking that there is just 1 player who is playing with everybody but honestly everyone is a player which is what makes the story so interesting to watch. They all have some sort of personality disorder may it be narcissism or borderline which makes them manipulative and use anyone they can for their own benefit.

Not to forget the feminist theme of the series. This series is run by powerful female characters which are so hard to find in any series. They are strong, powerful women who know how to get what they want. Even the mothers portrayed in the series are strong and powerful women who are family-oriented and doing well in their careers.

I am keeping this review very vague because if I were to dive into each character separately, not only would it be a spoiler but it would take up a lot of reading space. This is a seriously underrated series. I wish it would get more attention. The actors, actresses, the plot, the design, everything was amazing. I would recommend it 100%

much more fun than i thought it would be!

considering its overall raring of 7.5 i didn't expect that much from this drama but i actually really enjoyed it! my overall score is 8.5/10 however as i did notice some continuity errors which i felt took away from how into the drama i got, i will mention these below (they are spoilers so please be aware!)

this drama was really enjoyable as it had such a range of great actors featuring chimon and drake (my loves), tay, namtan, joss and jane to name a few, all who put on a brilliant performance to bring this drama to life.

it was full of twists, some expected and some not, but never failed to keep me entertained as the end of each episode left me wanting more, i needed to know what happened next.

namtan as giwi was insane to me as all her previous dramas i've seen she always played nice characters, to see her as such a villian was wild, i'm glad she got her comeuppance as giwi truly was awful, its a shame we didn't get to see how she suffered from her actions (sorry not sorry).

drake as mikey in that last episode, last couple of minutes really was also very impressive to see as i didn't expect to see him so unhinged either, mans got range!

as much as i love chimon, and i do very much, dan had me screaming at my laptop the entire time 'don't be so dumb! she's playing you!' i have never been more enraged in my entire life.. chimon did such a great job of playing dan and i'm glad he was able to do what he did in the end, he deserved so much better :')

the continuity errors i mentioned above that kinda ruined the effects for me was that when dan went and beat up mikey there was blood on the floor of the apartment which tin and fight saw when they went to look for mikey, however wouldn't pin have seen this when she went back home and mikey was not there? because the inspectors went to the house after both pin and mikey went missing so why was pin not kicking up a fuss about mikey when there would have been blood on the floor from fighting dan earlier? it just kinda didn't sit right with me.. another moment was when tim and tin were fighting outside tin's house, after they had the fight there was a scuff to tim's cheek, and then another camera angle and it was gone, and then back to the original angle and it was there again.. its not a massive issue but again it pulls you back out of the drama once you've been sucked into it because you realise that it doesn't flow as it should..

however, that is my only gripe with this series, other than that (and how annoying mim is, i hated her and felt bad for tin) it was great! definitely give it a shot if you like mysteries and murder sort of stuff

Mim's character is annoying

first off, her character is so annoying like I'm not blaming her if she was a victim of human trafficking but she clearly agreed to become prostitute. But thats not what I annoyed by her, its actually how she treats her "bestfriend" EVE. How come a bestfriend be so envious towards her friend? she only see her as "competition" like how a true friend shouldnt be. All she do was to blame others but she did not own up her own mistakes, Eve told her to stay away from Tim but all she have to do is to scold Eve for meddling her personal life, now she did not listen to her she got what she deserves she still hate her now she blame Tim when clearly Tim cleared up everything. She is sooo lier and ambitious. She is so self-centered in the whole series

Im glad Jane was in the series coz if not, I wouldve drop it.
