Oh dear...*facepalm*
ENDING REVIEW after completing the season = There is just no way this could get a second season it really is too much of a colossal mess, those wasted hours of my life gone. So many missed opportunities with the plot and characters that I actually want to slap the director, editor and writers. Sometimes I wondered if it was just poorly subtitled or the script was just THAT bad and most of the time I felt insulted that they treated the audience like we were stupid. I honestly don't know what they were thinking. It will be the king of the Golden Raspberries (worst) of BL Thai series. A lesson on what NOT to do, to force every up and coming film maker to watch while tied to a chair would be a good use of its rewatch value. I know I'm being mean but I'm sorry it deserves it.ORIGINAL REVIEW after watching the first 7 eps = I don't completely hate it as I'm still foolish enough to continue watching it. The very few things it does have going for it, is a strong soundtrack and the chemistry/acting of the two male lead actors Pakoo Athiwat as Nut and Tawan Kanachot Worachottrakul as Satha. Its not a particularly original story, another Thai school set melodrama because there aren't a hundred of those. Two guys meet in college and of course they clash at first. In this case the popular senior (Satha) is actually younger then the freshman (Nut). I'm guessing they will fall in love but I'm thinking Satha who has never had feelings for a guy before is going to turn his back on Nut, before 'seeing the light'. There is also an Ex boyfriend of Nut's who of course will probably be the catalyst that brings the two leads back together to wrap up the ending in a nice pretty bow. There are of course a side couple in Nut's two male friends who I'm guessing from the trailer will end up together, OMG I couldn't care less they are that annoying. I find myself cringing quite often through each episode between the horrible dialogue and the over use of cliches that make me want to facepalm so often it may leave actual bruises by the time I reach the end of the series. The worst is the absolute ridiculousness of having the side stories into the lives of the teachers who act more childish then the actual students, the editor definitely should have cut them out, I Fast Forward through this mind-numbing dullness because I feel embarrassed for these actors. I'm hanging in there but I don't have much hope for improvement. All I can say is if you are desperate for BL you will watch this for the 2 lead actors and hopefully skim through the rest. You have been warned.

What?
I did watch the whole thing. It was weird, senseless and unresolved. There were so many episodes that went no where. I felt that some of the episodes were cut short. The main couple was weird. I could not understand their relationship at times... well, most of the time neither could the writers, actors or director. The side couple, cute as they are, were out of the blue sleeping together and then together. It was weird.
Many of the episodes did not make sense. There was so much time wasted on side characters, (they even introduced a new character in the last 3 minutes!) and their stories, for the most part, played no part in telling the story nor did they have any reconciliation, ending nor reason. It was senseless.
The whole thing, even the side couple who were in a resolved "happy ending", was left unfinished. There has to be more episodes! Come on, they introduced a new character. Who was he? Why?
There has to be more.

What Happened?
UPDATE: They finally added the last 2 episodes. This stll has some unresolved issues but mostly was good.If this series is really over then it sucks. Nothing is resolved. The episodes are short and alot of time was wasted on pointless scenes between annoying side characters which didn't advance the plot at all. They main characters didn't confess to each other. None of the bad guys have been cnfronted or dealt with. The well endowed but personality lacking female love interest of Satha has no clue he is no longer interested because she only appeared for a random dance group conflict which has no bearing on the plot. That feels unresolved as is the friend who actually likes her. Also 5 minutes before the show ended they begin to plan a trip.
Only one part of this series feels complete. Out of the blue one side couple got a happy ending. There was no foreshadowing that this was going to be a couple. They just got drunk and next morning had apparently slept together and once the shock wore off the formerly straight guy decided he wanted to be with his gay friend.
Perhaps MyDramaList is incorrect in the information that this series will only have 10 Episodes ending August 29, 2021. But as it stands this is a poor excuse for a series. I really hope there is more to come. This doesn't even feel complete as a first season with more to come if by chance that is the plan.

It was my guilty please
A lot of the reviews were written prior to the show ending due to confusion over how many episodes there were going to be. So hopefully this one will give a clearer picture. This show was a straight up mess, but it had a certain charm that made me (and others) want to come back every week to see what new is going to be there. It was definitely my guilty pleasure. The story was not really original but the chemistry between the two leads, Nut and Satha was interesting and felt different to any I have seen on screen. The feel of the show in terms of filming style had a sort of polished amateurish feel to it.
The story was the major problem with this show. It was all over the place especially at the beginning. At the start there was a lot of nonsensical scenes. For example a teacher who had zero relevance to the plot, had a scene(s) that took ~30% of an episode. In that same episode we barely saw anything from the two mains. As the show progressed we got more of a focus on the main plot and the leads, but it is very strange the number of scenes and events that I can recall which didn't develop anywhere.
The acting in this show was not bad. Of course no one here will be winning an Emmy but everyone did a great job especially since quite a few were first time actors. The music was probably the best parts of this show. Tawan is a pretty good musician and pretty good looking. One other positive I want to mention is the actual queer representation in this show instead of the straight guy who happens to have a thing for this one guy. That is a huge plus and explore (for a tiny bit) coming to terms with your sexuality.
Do I recommend this show? Only if you have a passion for trashy tv. It definitely was a guilty pleasure show. I say give it a chance and if you don't like it you can drop. While watching it a lot of people fast forwarded through scenes so don't feel convicted to watch all of it. Anything to get through it!!

It's cute, It's easy to watch but if you watch it for story mainly it can be a mess sometimes
I mean...It wasn't that bad. Also it depends why do you want to watch it. I agree with the fact that the story was a mess sometimes but it wasn't worse. It's just drama for chill xd. |You don't really have to think while watching it. Also there's none really evil character. like they aren't in the story that much or they change, It was kinda weird but hey cute little drama.Spoilers:
There isn't any female rival which was unexpected but hey why not have break from them.
It felt kind of weird when Nut's ex came with "I'm giving up, good luck". Don't get me wrong. I would appreciate it if he would cause more trouble, if he would have more scenes but his character just appeard sayid something and left. When they show you his ex you expect just some deep cennection some hurt but the just pinch you and then say sorry. so yea that could have better scenes.
Also Satha reminds me of Tharn. you know, just good looking guy with guitar in a bar xd

Had the potential to be better
The basic story in this series isn't great, but it could have been serviceable had the script and/or editing been improved. We have a freshman who is a few years older than most other freshmen, and he meets a senior in the university who is younger. The freshman has been through certain awful stuff in life, but the senior encourages him to be more cheerful and open up to others. The two of them fall in love, but a creepy ex-boyfriend of the freshman threatens their relationship, as does the senior's struggles to come to terms with his own sexuality.
The above actually makes for an ok story. Unfortunately, the series ends up pretty disjointed and incoherent, with plenty of needless digressions to characters who have no relation to the main story and inconsistencies in characterizations.
The series starts off on the wrong note, taking the enemies-to-lovers approach. I'm not complaining about the lack of originality here; we can have an ok BL rom-com with this approach. Unfortunately, the delivery really leaves much to be desired here. First, Tha/Satha (the senior) gets inexplicably upset because the Nut (the older freshman) occupies the table that Tha usually takes. Come on, it's a university, and the table can basically be used by any student, and the freshman has no idea that the table is the unofficial property of this senior. Furthermore, despite how significant it is for the story, Tha's behavior is here is totally unlike him for he is actually quite a nice person who doesn't just go around bullying his juniors. (In fact, he has even stood up for a couple of juniors whom he sees being bullied.)
Then, just as inexplicably, Tha becomes friendlier towards Nut during a modeling gig. But that's when Nut, supposedly the more mature one, seems a tad too unfriendly towards Tha. And this is just one of the many examples of inconsistent character behaviors. Even before Tha starts to have feelings for Nut or realizes that he has such feelings, he behaves jealously when he sees Nut with other guys.
The bizarre behavior of Nut's ex is also another part of the series that leaves me dumbfounded. OK, so this ex-boyfriend is an asshole because he is in a relationship with Nut but is having sex with many other people when Nut is not ok with an open relationship. Then Nut leaves him, and the he vows to hunt Nut down wherever he goes (no indication of how long ago this takes place before Nut becomes an overaged freshman. (I also have no idea why Nut would just suddenly disappear instead of breaking up with the boyfriend.) So the ex goes from being portrayed as a promiscuous asshole to being portrayed as some sort of psycho stalker. Erm .... oooookaaaaay..... Then, bizarrely, not long after he is beaten up by Tha for harassing Nut, he is suddenly reformed. This is such a great example of bad storytelling that it ought to be recorded in textbooks for the benefit of the benefit of posterity.
In the end, the series could have been quite a decent feel-good BL about a man who gets over past hurt and a man who learns to come to terms with his own sexuality. And that seems like what it tries to be eventually. But the pointless digressions and inconsistencies in the characters (could there be some commercial reason to write in too many other characters?) prevent what is at least ok about the story from being properly developed.

This one will definitely have you scratching your head
I'm now 11 of 12 episodes in and it finally reached a point it easily could have done in 3-6 episodes without all the unnecessary filler. I originally wrote this review 7 episodes into the series and really nothing has changed from the initial review. This series comes off very much as the production company wanted to jump on the bandwagon of the popularity of the BL genre without having any real interest in the genre, or any experience in producing a series.
Every stereotypical BL cliche is of course added ad nauseum, and overall the whole thing just doesn't know where it wants to go or what it wants to be. If you took out the unnecessary fluff from each episode there may be 5-10 minutes of actual story to it, but even that is being generous.
There's no real chemistry between any of the cast members and the story overall is like someone put the script through a paper shredder and then tried to piece it back together and got it all wrong. If you took the cast that the series has and changed what characters they are playing and changed some aspects of the characters that could have helped this series a lot, but nothing could make up for the rest of what's wrong with it.
OVERALL: Skip it, forget it exists, and don't hold your breath on it getting better as it goes.

Painful
Ugh, where to begin?! First, keep in mind these are new actors, which is made quite apparent very quickly. I'm no quitter, so I forced myself through this. It wasn't just the acting. Everything was bland and thrown together. In true Thai BL drama fashion, I loved the side couple more than the MC. There weren't much for visuals and the MCs eyebrows gave me anxiety and the other MC looks well into his 30's. I hope each actor grows from this experience and maybe one day they'll get more popularity, but until then I wouldn't even recommend this! The storyline was a dark abyss of...I'm not even sure. If you can find the plot kudos to you. lolGood Luck and Enjoy...

Glad I persevered
I admit that I did a lot of fast-forwarding through the first half....ok, more than half of the show. The part with the teachers was unnecessary. The photography club was unnecessary. The side characters were just fillers. This could have been done with half as many episodes if they'd focused on the main characters. I read the comments before starting the show, and about 2 episodes in, I thought, "Ugh, I agree with the comments, this is bad." But I'm glad I persevered, because at some point I stopped fast-forwarding. By episode 9 or so, I was actually interested. Mind you, it shouldn't have taken that long to become interesting, but still....and even then, I had some negative thoughts, but the show resolved well in my opinion. The acting became much better. The story became much better. The English subs never got better, and there were times it required some interpretation. For instance, the bar scene in the last episode was one of the best scenes in the drama, but the subs were so bad that I had to rewatch after I figured out what they were trying to say. That is very distracting when you are trying to enjoy interesting and pivotal scenes within the drama.
There were a few characters in the show that had some outstanding acting, especially with what they had to work with. And honestly, there really wasn't much chemistry between the leads. Despite this, I think they pushed hard to make it work the best they could.
Overall, I'm glad I watched this.

Just average
There is good low budget and bad low budget series. Country Boy is one recent example of good low budget. This is not bad, but not great either. The whole thing needed some better editing and maybe even a rewrite of some of the story. The PREMISE of this story was good, a guy drops out of college due to him and his ex, (and maybe money issues?). He has returned to college after some period of time. So he is a couple years older than the rest of the students. Cool idea, and it does happen sometimes in real life. However, the story itself somehow was confusing, and chopped up.
The couple for the majority of the series didn't even basically talk to each other, and they weren't dating. It wasn't until the 12th episode (which seem to be added later on?) that things actually happened for the main leads. Usually when people say "the couple had no chemistry" I disagree. But in this case I do think that there wasn't much there. The main actors did an OK job in general, but either because the story didn't have the actors be a couple, or just because the actors weren't compatible, there just isn't much of anything to indicate they were in love.
This may sound superficial, and this is a good time to bring this up with the age difference plot. The main lead Nut looked much older than he needed to during a majority of the series. He apparently didn't have makeup or a hair stylist throughout the series? For the finale, he looks like a totally different actor, and more appropriate age for this series. He is good looking in the last episode and looks more like his MDL profile picture. I don't know why they made him seem older and frumpier (can guys be frumpy?) throughout the story, maybe it was budget?
There were some funny and touching parts to the story with the side couple. But again, that story was all over the place, then they disappeared for a good portion of the last episodes only to reappear in the finale for a couple short scenes. They even added a new couple in the last few minutes of the series, I get why they added that teacher/student couple last minute, Nut was supposed to reflect about his relationship when he overheard them , but the whole scene with the teacher was a bit weird bordering on assault. The ex-boyfriend plot ended in a weird way. Again, more story or editing issues here.
Like many of these type of series, it is filler material to watch while waiting for a better series. But it is totally forgettable, and will not be one of those that you watch again, nor does it need a second season.

Wasted
Why? This is an show to let directors know what not to do on a show. The acting, the story - for real, like... what is this story??? so much potential but all wasted -, and everything else. What a waist of time. And I'll don't even talk abou the last episode... it's full of nonsense.I recomend it if you don't have anything else to do in your life. For real, if you're desperate for some different bl and thinks this one is a good to go, don't go.
It's a shame beause I really liked the singer one, he's so cute, but the Nut is strange.
