I liked this one better than TOSSARA

Okay. This one was cute, too. I liked that we got to see another couple from the previous show. Vee pissed me off. Some of his reactions to what was happening with Yiwaa made no sense to me. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but Vee was an asshole to Mark, too. I felt bad for Mark. My favorite scene was in the 3rd episode, when Mark is being sarcastic, cold, and indifferent to Vee. Vee deserved it! I also liked how Mark’s friend came to his defense in the bar. Vee deserved that punch! Vee and Mark are cute. Their scenes were adorable and they did a great job acting together. I did enjoy the series. It’s only 4 episodes, so a short series. You should check it out.

The best of the En of Love trilogy

A very sweet and realistic story between Mark and Vee. The up and down story of Mark and Vee is very believable and refreshingly simple and straightforward. The success of this series in the En of Love trilogy is the solid acting and good chemistry between the two main characters. You can feel the ups and downs that Mark and Vee were going through. War Warnarat is especially good in his portrayal of Mark; he successfully wears his emotions with his facial expressions. The storyline and acting was far superior to the messy TOSSARA story previous to this in the series.

If there’s one thing to fault in this series the timeline. In watching it seems like events happen within maybe a few months. However, based on character dialog, events actually happen in a span of like 18 months! I know the reason is because they needed to age the characters for the overall story continuity for the last segment of the trilogy. It would have been nice if they slowed it. Perhaps intertwining the TOSSARA story with this one instead of having them as separate sections of the series would give better depth and storyline timing. Having watched all three En of Love series, there was no reason to have them as three distinct series for each couple. Reference My Engineer and the Hormones trilogy as good examples of Thai series that do the multi-couple thing well.

The good thing with the format is that each of the stories are compartmentalized so you don’t need to watch them in order or know what happened before to understand what’s going on.

Despite the timeline and continuity challenges it’s a worthwhile watch. This story and actors warrants its own series or was that story already told in Theory of Love?

This series are great because the main actors can act very well

Okay first of all I'm sorry because my english is bad. First of all, Love Mechanics was way MORE better than Tossara.

Yes, at the beginning of the story VeeMark relationship is not healthy and so messed up. There are so many plot holes in this series because they have to pack it up to only 4 episodes per series. Despite of that, if you read the book you will know that their story is not bad. The character development are great especially for Vee (he's a love sick in the book). I personally want Love Mechanics to have their own full series that really explain what is happening with VeeMark like what the book told. Well, I need justice for Love Mechanics I guess?

I want to say in the scene where Mark saw Vee is kissing his ex girlfriend in the club, THEY DIDN'T DO JUSTICE IN THE STORY! Vee met his ex by accident in the club and they are just having a chit chat at first until his ex ask him to do a last kiss. Vee is a jerk, I know. She's already an ex and Vee already have someone but still have the urge to kiss his ex *rolling eyes* AND WORSE, MARK SAW IT.

When the problem of their relationship begin, the series didn't tell how Mark and Vee is struggling BUT ACTUALLY IT'S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN THIS STORY (I WANT TO CRY). Mark spent a very long time struggling (and it's so ugly *cry*). Vee also spent a very long time discovering his mistakes and struggling with it. I'm dissappointed that they didn't tell us their struggles :(

If there's by any chance they will give us a full series of love mechanics, I hope they will tell both of their struggles, How they came to each other again, how they struggle with their relationship when Mark's dad knew about them, and how they love each other so much in the end of the book where they are not labeling themself as boyfriend because they are MORE THAN A BOYFRIEND :(

For the main actors that is Yin and War. I can say that they are great. This is Yin's first series but his acting is not bad, he can portray Vee's character very well (his acting is not wonderful "wonderful", but he's there). Fight me, I may sound too biased but it's the truth. For War, he's good (very good I say). War's acting really describe how Mark is like in the book. Also their chemistry are off charts. You can say that I'm very satisfied with Yin and War's acting. I think no one suits playing VeeMark like YinWar does (hahaha).

For the music selection, I think they did a good job. A very good job. It suits the series so much and it's great. I can say nothing more.

I like to rewatch Love Mechanics when i'm bored, but the plot holes really bug me :( I really wish they can make a full series for Love Mechanics because they deserve it so much :(

Overall are good, don't compare this series to those long series with good editing etc because there's many plot holes and there's only 4 episodes that is so short. Unfortunately, this is just a small project with a minimized budget (but Love Mechanics nailed it). Let's hope so that Love Mechanics will be made into a full series they deserved (with YinWar as the cast ofc) <3

This review may not help you, but this is my very personal opinion and my honest review about the series <3

Short but precise

I must admit the actors who played the main roles are actually fresh to the eyes, at first I thought watching this short series would be a waste of time. Albeit, Vee and Mark’s chemistry worked their way throughout the series. I really like them both and Vee is really cute. You could actually feel the emotions they want to convey specifically when Vee cried and felt guilty of the mistake he committed. I am really shipping this couple and hoping for more Thai BL series for them to work on. My heart swooned and blissfully enjoyed this series. The only cons I could think of is that they didn’t think of a better ending perhaps and also they could’ve improved the storyline and some plot twists I think? But nonetheless, my rating of 9.5 overall justifies everything. ❤️ Lastly, this is the first review I’ve written ever since I started binge watching Thai BL series. I don’t actually know but this short series stirred something within me, hoping that there will be future projects for both Vee and Mark soon. Fingers Crossed*

It’s worth it to watch

To be honest I was skeptical to watch this series LM for the Tossara series. That serie was so bored, I didn’t like the story and there wasn’t chemistry between the actors, idk I felt that way. For my point of view it was awful, and I just saw one episode.

But LM really surprised me, both actors are handsome, the story was kinda fuck up in the begging, but start to change, the only thing I didn’t like it was the rush, just 4 episode and they try to catch was important in novel to portrait here.

Good job to Yin and War, they chesmitry and acting make me thing I was seeing Vee and mark for the novel ?

Sigh, this is the first time I've been disappointed with something that has come out of Studio WabiSabi. It's really difficult to do a short series well and I commend them for better execution on Love Mechanics vs TOSSARA. I can appreciate what they were trying to do, however, it didn't completely deliver.

I thought the acting was overall good. Vee and Mark have better chemistry than Gun and Bar. I give Yin slightly higher marks than War, but they both did well for their first roles. Everything overall was better than TOSSARA. The production was good, but I've seen better from this studio. I really don't like this storyline. They want to make Ploy out to be the bad guy (which I mean she is) but her cheating doesn't absolve Vee from *checks notes* THE CHEATING. Come on now! I'm soooooo tired of this plot. The music is fine but not really memorable.

It's only 4 episodes and it's not terrible

EDIT - April 18th, 2022
~When I wrote this review in 2020, I was hoping for a longer remake of the series. I'm happy to know that they are doing it. And recently I've decided to read th novel that this series is based on. PLEASE, I recommend to read it before watching this 4 episodes drama. Due to the series being so short, there is a lot of stuff lost in between and now that I've read the whole story, I understand way better what happened and I'm planning on rewatching it again~

I found out about this drama through Instagram and before giving it a try, I wanted to check out some reviews and comments. I'm not a big fan of the girlfriend cliché, but since it's only 4 episodes I decided to ignore it. However, the "sexual assault" thing I've read worried me.
I ended up watching it and I don't regret my decision.

You can't call that scene rape nor sexual assault. As someone who truly suffered something like that, I realized the writers let it clear that it was consensual. Yes, Mark was drunk while Vee was sober. BUT the next morning reaction was a way to let the audience know that Mark was aware all the time of what was going on and he was willing. Otherwise he would have freaked out the next morning.
While being drunk, Mark was aware that he was kissing Vee. While being drunk, Mark was aware that he was having sex with Vee. And the next morning Mark was calm and okay with it because he was aware of his actions despite being drunk at that time. It would be better if they showed us more of the scene to make it all clear, but I believe the morning scene was their way to clear up any confusion about it.

So, once we have that clarified, the story is too short. I haven't watched TOSSARA but I believe this is similar since it's a sequel. They need more episodes for the audience to truly connect with the story and understand everything. I don't know if it was the same situation with TOSSARA (when it comes to the timeline), but they should consider the lenght for their future projects if they do more.

*This may contain spoilers, even though I don't consider them spoilers at all*

In one same episode we see a scene, then the next one is a year after (without giving us this information until one of the characters mentioned it), and the next one is over 2 months later. They basically skipped half of the drama just to show you the moment they got together, the moment they break up (after 1 year), and the moment they got back together (after over 2 months since the break up). No information about what happened in between. For me that's one of the negative points.

The acting was okay. Nothing extraordinary but with 4 episodes (actually 3 and a half), you can't really see much. The chemistry was better than many other dramas.

I don't have a big problem with Vee's character. I've seen worse characters on others BLs. Actually I think he was sweet towards Ploy and Mark while dating them. Obviously we can't deny how he fucked up on that scene at the bar, but it seemed too innocent if we compare it with other dramas. I think I would have had a problem if he was still with Ploy in secret and basically two-timing, but that was not the case. Yes, what he did was a bad decision but I believe it's something you can have a serious talk about instead of making a big deal out of it.
Gotta say that Ploy, despite cheating on Vee, doesn't seem a bad girl. Once she knew about Mark and Vee, she was okay about it and felt sorry because she had no idea so I can't be mad at her character at all.
If you get involved with someone who you think is single to find out later that this person was dating someone else while being with you, you are just another victim. If you knew all along that this person wasn't single, then you are to blame as well.

I don't know if I will rewatch it in the future. If they decide to make a longer drama out of the same story then, despite knowing the ending, I would watch it. But this is too short, and everything is showed in a rush, for me to truly enjoy it again.

The best one

I do believe I watched them in the wrong order because I should have seen this one before "This Is Love Story," but whatever. Truth is, as long as you watch "TOSSARA" first, it doesn't really matter in what order you watch the next two.

First of all, wow. I left the BEST for last and I am genuinely glad I did. "Love Mechanics" was truly a great work compared with its other two parts, but due to the fact that the story was comprised in only four episodes, there was a lack of... well... a lot of things. Overall though, the writing and acting made this one stand out from the others.

The story was simple and nothing really too complicated to process. It's your typical "we met, we got a thing going on, we messed up, and we reconciled." Simple enough, right? But not bad. I feel like I have seen the types of characters shown in this drama before, so nothing felt "bad" but it definitely wasn't memorable. That being said, I do have to give credit were credit is due:

The acting was very good and felt very natural. After watching the other two, I was very pleased to see a couple that actually looked like they love each other. I'm always on defense of having straight men playing gay roles because there is an invisible wall in between them that makes their acting a little awkward whenever they have a romantic scene, but this wasn't the case this time. Their interaction was pleasing to the eye and drew me closer to the story.

The writing was pretty decent. A drama would usually have episodes that are around forty minutes long minimum; however, this one ran for around thirty minutes and it is a shame. Even though the story was understandable and had a good pacing, it did feel like some things were being left out in some parts due to the lack of time. A good example will be the reconciliation; I was expecting to see how they would forgive and move on, but we completely skipped that moment and were sent to the next day with the couple going full gay force again. Honestly, how dare you, Karen? Make the episodes a little longer! Don't be scared of making it run for a few more minutes.

Overall, this was an enjoyable little series and it is the ONLY one I would like to rewatch in the future.
I'm definitely supporting these actors on their future works!

I'm going to open this by saying that if I had to choose one word to describe this series, it would be 'disappointing'.

It was truly awful, and not even in the good way, where the angst abounds and you want to cry but it's all so well done that you don't mind.

The acting was pretty good, especially by War (Mark) but the story and plot were just a mess of scenes thrown together that contradicted each other and made no sense.

Let's start with what passes for a plot, shall we? Mark is pining over his fellow student, Bar, and goes on a bender to drown his feelings in alcohol. Mistaking another student, Vee, for Bar, Mark demands to know why he's so unlikeable.
Instead of taking Mark home, Vee kisses him and they have sex. No, you know what? That's too polite. Vee rapes Mark. And don't come at me to disagree. Mark is so drunk he can't even tell who he's talking to, which means he's in no position to give informed consent.

The problem is, Vee is already in a relationship and he's caught his girlfriend cheating, so he's only sleeping with Mark to get back at her. But Mark starts to have feelings for Vee, and Vee seems to reciprocate but can't let go of his girlfriend.

Deciding to break up with her, he leaves Mark to tell her it's over. And then doesn't come back, leaving Mark waiting for hours. Mark phones Vee who says he's told his girlfriend that it's over, but that he still wants to be friends and they're going to a bar for a farewell drink. He invites Mark to come along. Mark does. Then he catches Vee kissing his ex.

Mark leaves and cuts off all contact with Vee for a month, then comes back to school with a new boyfriend? (it's not made clear) and ignores Vee, who's spent the whole time trying to call Mark to sort things out. They eventually talk and get together in one of the worst finales I've ever seen.

My problems with this show are numerous, but I'm going to stick to the two biggest ones.

1. War's acting is great. He expresses so much with his eyes, you're just drawn in. The same cannot be said for the majority of the cast, especially Yin (Vee) who just comes off as lacklustre. Next to War, he shows no depth of emotion and I didn't connect with him.

2. I'm so over the love triangle trope, and this story just made it ten times worse. Vee is horrible person. His self-awareness levels are lower than Khai's from 'Theory of Love', and that's saying something. He's selfish, cruel, manipulative and thoughtless. He abandoned Mark to go to a bar with his ex-girlfriend, and then kissed her knowing full well Mark could walk in and see them because he'd invited him! Then, we he finally gets a chance to talk to Mark, the words 'I'm sorry' never cross his lips (I re-watched the scene to double check this, and that is not an exaggeration - he never actually says the words.) He makes excuses for his behaviour and then thinks he can solve everything by saying "I love you" to Mark. Since this is BL, it works - which just ended up making me angry.

Are there any bright spots in this show? Well, yes actually, and their names are Yiwaa and James, who are great friends and stick up for Mark and are on his side and I love them.

Rewatch value? This show has none. it's a dumpster fire from start to finish, and one could argue that's mostly due to 'Rona' but, from the little I could glean from the comments, the source material isn't exactly wonderful and this is an improvement. Too bad it wasn't enough of one.

To the point

This was a really short drama of only 4 episodes and not more then 15 minutes give or take on each episode.

Hmmm ... not much to say about this dram, I watched this in one sitting, and due to boredom and waiting for time to pass through, so it really was not on my list or like I had my eye on it.

I'm going to open about this by saying that if I had to choose one word to describe this series, it would be 'disappointing'.

The acting was pretty good, especially by War (Mark) but the story and plot were just a mess of scenes thrown together that contradicted each other and made no sense.

Like I mentioned earlier, this drama was not on my list or anything, but if I have to say that, the friends were pretty awesome and stuck with each other, this is like the only positive thing to this drama.

Rewatch value? This show has none. it's a dumpster fire from start to finish ( Apologies for the harsh review, but it really was terrible)

Bad start but good ending

The second instalment of En of Love franchise. My main complaint for this one is that it was too short to really give the story a chance to fully develop and for us to really understand the characters.

Vee & Mark: Their start was messy. I am not a fan of the whole one night stand idea where one of the individuals is too drunk to function. That doesn’t sit well with me in general. Vee two-timing Ploy and Mark while not really being able to make up his mind wasn’t really showing him in a good light either. I can understand his struggle, especially seeing that he has been with Ploy for a while, but cheating is never the answer. I do think that Yin and War had amazing chemistry, and they really showed that with their characters.

I did think this one was much better than the first series. Maybe I was simply too creeped out by Gun to fully enjoy it. Either way, I really like how the plot continues from where TOSSARA ended.

P.s. I think a lot of my original issues have been dealt with in the longer version of the series

Could Barely Get Through This One

Holy crap this series was slowwww and its only 4 episodes which is really bad. First of all the 2 main actors I didn't buy at all. There was zero chemistry between them, unless I missed something? The story was boring as hell, nothing is really happening besides cheating, drunk cheating and passive aggressive conversations. This mini series needed something, ANYTHING to spice it up and it just never got there. I know its only 4 episodes but I would say watch any other series besides this one. It's rare that I ever get so uninterested in a drama to the point where I pretty much drop it completely. The only positive thing I can say about it is I appreciate that we didn't have to sit through another "but I'm not gay!" plot point.
