Alice de Cheongdamdong (2012)

I just HAD to write a review of this !
Honestly , Park si Hoo is my Bias , my yeobo , my lovely guy . So i think that u know now why i started watchign this drama .
But i'm getting to like this drama more and more . Why ?
Because , even if the story isn't that new , but the main character's personality ( Jean Thierry Cha ) is REALLY REALLY special and i can't help but love it . He's acting like a fool and a crazy guy sometimes but changes into a real and strong man when he needs to .
But still i don't if i love this drama because i just love seeing Si Hoo and fangirling about him or do i truly like for itself Lol .

Even if Si Hoo isn't ur Bias , i still recomment u THROUGHLY to watch this show . I'M ON EPISODE 6 AND I CANT WAIT FOR SATURDAY TO WATCH THE NEXT ONE .

PS : U will laugh SO FREAKING MUCH and i'm not exagerating and there's so SO MANY cute scenes . So Believe , it will be one of the greatest dramas of the year .

Cheongdamdong Alice (2012) - I am so liking this drama. It was so romantically uplifting me and it is on top of my watched korean dramas list. At the time when I was watching this, I still have questions regarding the story because I don’t know much about Korean culture and stories in their country but I was really hooked with the drama. I really like the romance and comedy of the drama and I like each of the characters. This drama is a portrayal of like modern day Alice in Wonderland, Daddy Long Legs and Cinderella in one. I have grown my childhood with this stories and I think this is the reason why I liked this drama. Although “chaebol” is still apparent here, I liked that they portrayed it in a fun way even though there is a revenge part. I also like Park Si Hoo’s character development here, he is so cute! This drama is one of the dramas that I really like over the years.

I started watching this show because of Park Shi hoo and all the cute expressions he gave. He was the only reason I could complete it (confession: I skipped a few eps)
The story could have been portrayed better. But in the end it was some loose ends and no chemistry. It was creepy and weird. It started well with ambitions and this urge to succeed despite of the lacking accolades and connections. But manipulation is not the way to do that. Half way through the drama and I was confused about what they really wanted to deliver.
It began really good but lost all color. I was thoroughly disappointed.

Interesting message but total disaster of execution

I think the basic message is interesting. It’s trying to show case the unbalanced opportunity that’s been given to poor and wealthy people. How the rich become richer and the poor have to struggle much more to get the same opportunity. Unfortunately there are nothing else substantial about the story. It doesn’t have substance or depth that it feels like it just go around in circle.

I only managed to hang on until episode 4, and that already spend mostly fast forwarding. It’s such a shame that the message their trying to convey cannot get across.

I think the casts are not good enough. I don’t like the Female Lead, her acting doesn’t have the charm needed for the story. The Male Lead is okay, but I think the character is not written well. It’s such a shame they didn’t use Namgoong Min better, because out of all the character, he acted it out the best. There are some layer that he portrays through his acting that I want to know more.

I don’t remember much else from watching 4 episodes.
