My honest review for this drama
When i saw this story trailer for the first time, i already attracted to watch this drama... I wait patiently for this drama to be air and when it's finally air i wait for another 10 weeks just to watch this drama without stop it...What can i say is that this drama really worth to watch as the actors really works hard and their chemistry is on another level since the make the stort so smooth. I don't need to skip the drama since it's really addicting and so i don't even skip because i feel like it is a waste not watching even a little scene... i really love how the actors really suits with characters and how the act the character as it's their own life or themselves... No need to say much the one who don't watch it yet please watch it before you regret...

Still can’t move on
Finally GMMTV getting out of their high school/ university BL theme. 10 weeks full of happiness for me, waiting for the new episode aired seem time moving too slow. Even though there’s a few flaw of the series, overall I still can enjoy it. The chemistry of both actor is the main ingredient that make this series more stand out. Mixx acting is good as n newbie. Earth, I can see his improvement but need more practice in term of his facial expression. All the supporting actor, actress and the kids really make this series more vibrant and colourful.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
After a year of waiting, this series topped all expectations
For a LOT of viewers, we saw the trailer on GMM for 1000 Stars in 2020, and anticipated the show for awhile, as the plot seemed fresh and the story was attention-grabbing. But with a lot of issues coming up, the filming was delayed for a looong time, and i know that personally i was disheartened by this, and found myself looking forward to this series less and less as time went on, unsure if it would ever actually air.But then, it did. And im not sure how GMM will ever top it.
For starters, the casting is perfect, especially for Dr. Nam. His smugness while teasing Phu, or his serious tone during the darker bits of the series, i absolutely cannot think of anyone who would've played the character better.
The story itself is a heart-wrenching, bittersweet love story that will have you find yourself crying to yourself while watching the premiere. As much as i LOVE a good university story, recently, with Fish Upon The Sky following 1000 Stars, and Bad Buddy coming out soon this year, along with the countless others GMM has released, seeing this rural village setting was refreshing, and seeing our main character, Tian, adapt to living there was heartwarming.
Seeing Tian slowly get to know and befriend both the children he was teaching, and all of the Pha Pun Dao villagers was probably my second favorite part of this whole series (first favorite is definitely Tul telling Tian "don't worry, im sure theres lots of handsome guys for you to choose from" haha...just kidding :P). Their interactions together are sweet and leave you feeling warm and fuzzy, seeing how much everyone cares for one another.
The relationship between Phu and Torfun was one that i enjoyed seeing the flashbacks of. Usually in a BL series, producers enjoy making the women of the story the "bad guys" usually, but that's not the case with Torfun. She is a beautiful soul, and a kind woman who cares deeply for those around her.
If you're hesitant on watching this due to the "Beating Again" vibes it gives off, don't be. Tian doesn't fall for Phu due to Torfun's heart influencing him, it's completely his own feelings.
On that subject, Tian and Phu's relationship and relationship development will make you cry if you're single, or call up your boyfriend/girlfriend if you have one. Watching their interactions and seeing how their feelings develop from "doing this out of duty" to something much, much more, it puts SOTUS to shame. (Sorry Krist, sorry Singto, still love you guys... :P)
Overall, please please watch this masterpiece. You're missing out if you haven't already watched it, and if you have, well theres always time to rewatch it :P

This is a must watch series
This is the best series I have ever watched. It is really perfect in every aspects. The actors were living their characters and the plot of the story is quite heart warming. This series is really perfect that I am so happy that I decided to watch this masterpiece. For me this series is really worth every second I watched it. I was waiting for this series since it was first announced and I already knew that it will be amazing, but in reality it was a lot more than I expected.I loved waiting for Friday to come just for watching this series.
Quality of this series is really good and music was an attraction for me. I feel peaceful after watching most of the episodes.
Acting of both Earth and Mix is really heartwarming and their chemistry is unexplainable. Every emotions of Tian and Phu pha were perfectly handled.
Honestly I loved the change from usual college or school love stories .
After finishing watching this I felt like' Tale of thousand stars ' was something I wanted to watch for a long time.
This series made me cry and laugh at the same time that is why I love this series so much.
All this opinions are mine and I don't know how others find this series but for me it is my favorite

Its different and beautiful
This story was so different from any other cliche BL story, I truly felt the emotions during the series and the character change from everybody, I fell in love with this series and who ever watches it I promise you will to cause it truly truly pulled at the heart strings. I'm so glad that bl and go series stopped doing the typical and cringy over the top series and finally started putting different cultures into series and movies. Must watch this beautiful Tale of 1000 Stars
Everyone who is a fan of pure & true love , must watch this series. It has potrayed the love between two person without actually saying the word ' i love you ' . The story of 1000 stars ,of Phupha & Tian is very beautiful . The story gives a feeling of love , sacrifice , unity & a beautiful new way to look into this wonderful life . Within just 10 episode , the series has given the rollercoster of emotions , i smiled , cried & laughed with them . A big kudos to the director for making this great series & all the actors ( especially Earth &Mix huhu my boys ) who worked so hard & had done the amazing job. Honestly this series has also brought the hope & peace in my life , helping me to be more calm & becoming a more better person in real life & not to forgot the meaningful positive lessons that the series has taught , makes it so unique & beautiful in its own way. Apart from a beautiful love tale , its also show how even through doing a small act of kind or doing something good to others , can brings you a lots of happiness ( which infact is so true ) . One of the Best!!!
Tale of a thousand stars is absolutely one of the best BL's that has ever been made. I hope other BL writers take note of how a proper BL is made. You can tell they really took their time developing this story, choosing the right locations to film, etc. Every glance between the Chief and Tian, every touch, every word had meaning, everything felt real. There was no moment during the series that anything felt cliche or like it was added in as fluff. Compared to most BL's there aren't a lot of sexual or kissing scenes but honestly it's perfect just the way it is.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Masterpiece!
Top-tier BL. Everything made sense and I love it how the show went full circle. Also, the life values that this show imparts is chef’s kiss. Mix acting - can’t believe he is a rookie. And this is the best Earth has done - probably because he found his perfect partner. The chemistry is just out of this world - the best out there right now I can confidently say. I’m just sad that there are trolls here rating the series low just because they want their faves to be on top. They can’t even state specifics things. In the year 2020, there were only three (3) BL stories that I was eager to see. The first one was ITSAY- and it was beautiful. The second one was MOD- which carried me on a journey. And the third one was ATOTS. Unfortunately, ATOTS was pushed back to 2021. I waited and waited until it was finally announced that it was coming. And I was not dissapointed.Story-10/10
What can I say about the story? I don't think I can put into words the beauty of this storyline. It carried me on so many emotions- smiling, laughing and crying at the characters on the journey that they were on. What I appreciated was how both of the MC's friends s well as Tian's father was accepting on the MC's relationship. That was new for me on how they supported them and even encouraged the MC's.
Acting/Cast-10/10
From the MC to the supporting casts, they all played a role. Everyone's acting was on point! When I was eagerly awaiting for this series to start, I had faith cause I knew the type of actor that Earth was, as I watched a few of his roles. And he did not dissapoint. I also would loke to acknowledge how great Mix was in his first role in a series. His acting was just unbelievable and knowing that tis was his first role- that really blew my mind. I am eager to see what else Earth and Mix can do, be it in another series together or by themselves.
Music-10/10
The music is so beautiful that every week I would play the opening OST and just sway with the music. I'm going to miss it so much!

I would most definitely rewatch this series. Everything about it was perfect. I would also like to say that the director did not dissapoint me with this series. He never usually does. Matter of fact, the last GMMTV series that I gave a perfect score to was his series HCTM.

This series was so perfect. I don't know what I am going to do with my Fridays now as they are no moreTian and Phupha. I would most definitely recommend this series to others.

This is the best BL that currently exists
Okay, I've watched a ton of BL's, basically all of the great ones that are available. I've never written a review either but I felt the need to for this one. This is by far the best one I've seen. It's perfectly crafted as an amazing story with the best actors that could have been chosen. I couldn't believe how incredibly Mix played Tian being a first time actor. He certainly has a gift for this profession and I'm really looking forward to (hopefully) seeing him in more dramas. The music is also incredible and completely different to other BL's. Finally, there isn't a plotline revolving around college students. Tian is an engineering student but this drama did what most others didn't and actually had the character use what he's studying in order to help the villagers at one point.This drama shares the intense chemistry of both main characters without being overbearing. In fact, the subtleties are what makes this drama. Normally I never really get excited until characters are kissing, but these two make it obvious of what they feel for each other when they simply lock eyes and you can feel it through the screen. I highly recommend this drama regardless of what genres you normally watch because this masterful BL is like no other and should be seen by everyone.

After Counting A Thousand Stars, I'd Wish for Season 2
The execution of the production captures the overall essence of this well-written novel. The pacing of every episode made me so hooked that led me to beg in my knees and scream for season 2. This BL is the new generation of BL series, as it delivers fresh concept and plot. Having to interject LGBTQ social issues just like the usual BL Series, this one sets itself from the rest as it gave new insights by normalizing LGBTQ relationship in the society and coming-out from oneself and Self-discovery. The life morals and enlightenment found on this series, are helpful for those who have forgotten their purpose in life. Yet I am here, got motivated again after watching it, not because of the romance between the handsome men, but the depth of this beautiful story. After all, what makes a story or series effective, is to have that lasting impact to viewers, and I am glad that Tian and Pupha, conveyed it to me and to the viewers as it is how it should be.
