Not bad, but not good either, if you're looking for a light drama
In order to enjoy the drama, you must watch it with the expectation that the it was a very light drama and the plot will keep circling with very less development. The storyline was good but it wasn't develop enough and builds up to the point it gets frustrating, as I thought it could get better. It starts of fun and light, in the middle it becomes repetitive and in the end it gets better with the tension, but not good enough. As much as I enjoy a light drama, I found the plot quite disappointing. But since I was looking and in the mood of a light drama, I could say I do enjoy it. Oh and, the good part of the drama would be about the daughter looking for who is the real father. Anyways, if you're looking for a light drama and you don't really have lots of options, then do watch it :)Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Sweet but frustrating at times
I love Kdramas and I am trying my best to love this one. My biggest problem is with the Fl. Next to the ML she looks old and dowdy most of the time. I decided to rewatch this drama and the second time around I found myself having a change of heart. I even changed my initial scoring.. The males actors are all a treat to watch . The two kids actually steal the movie. I wanted to learn more about the boy and his relationship with his father. I wanted to know who was the girls father. I don’t know why Asian women are usually depicted as being so pitiful. They are either overly aggressive or indecisive. The storyline is not unique. However the excuse given for hiding the father’s identity just is not convincing. It was really painful to watch. But as I started to make more attention I was drawn into how people and events affect our lives. Families do keep secrets. Some people never get over their first love. Life happens. As I said I liked the parts best with the male leads and the kids. The grandmother was great too. I do not find loud screaming females entertaining. The parts where the Ml was not yelling were really good. I say give this a chance.. You may be pleasantly surprised like I was.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Typical who's the father drama
The main reason I watched this is because of Song JiHyo. I love seeing her on screen although it seems like she ends up with flop series most of the time because of terrible writing. This one is slightly bearable than most. I kind of enjoyed watching the series despite some flaws on the writing which was pointed out by other reviews. For me, the casts did their best to do their roles. I also like how things were wrapped up because it almost felt like everyone had their happy endings.
I don't have much say whether to recommend it or not but as JiHyo Eonnie fan of course, I love this drama seeing her in it.

Disappointed in the ending
I loved this drama until the last episode. Spoiler: They do the cliche ending where one of the leads leaves for one to two years with no good reason. It really didn't fit the characters or the story and it ruined the ending for me. The very last scene was adorable, but the rest of the last episode was trash. The things I loved about it: The writing (until the last episode) was really good. The characters were well written and very likeable. The acting was really good too. I liked that Song Ji Hyo's character challenged a lot of tropes that apply to female leads. She was an older single mom, and was portrayed as an attractive woman. She was at the center of a reverse harem.

If this drama was a food, it would be plain congee. You eat it and then forget about it.
I really liked the drama at first, and found myself looking forward to new episodes each week.In the beginning, the pacing of the drama is good and there's this suspense that keeps you going while you are finding out the female lead's story and how all these different men tie into her life. And of course, the big question: who is the father?
I think it's just that once it becomes apparent who it is, a lot of the suspense disappears... and although I only finished this drama around a month ago, I've already forgotten a lot of the details. It wasn't a terrible drama, but it's very hard to judge because it just wasn't very memorable and not something I would re-watch.
All I remember is the terrible Cantonese and little snippets of what happened. Oh, and there was a cute dog.

No - but I liked it as a friend!
I started watching Was It Love? as a stopgap between Start-Up episodes and ended up binging it in a week. Our lead is a single mother with a teenage daughter and the story revolves around her and 4 men who seek her affection. She lives with her lovely mum and has a great best friend who they rent their house from.
Let's start with the positives - our lead played by Song Ji Hyo (Noh Aee Jung) is a strong independent woman - she's raised her child and grown her career to be a film producer - she's a fighter. And so when these guys try to 'save' her she doesn't entertain it.
The male leads play their roles really well - especially Oh Dae Oh played by Son Ho Jun who has great heart and comedic timing. The competition to get our leads affection is funny in places but can get a bit annoying.
The negatives - the first 7 or so episodes drag on too long with the same issue being dragged out for far too long. Just to add a bit of heat they introduce the delightful Kim Da Som (from kpop group, Sistar) who adds another angle to this already convoluted story.
Overall this was an ok show - I think if the story in the first half was tighter, then it could be a good drama and had potential. Give it a go if you're bored.

One thing stood out
This drama for me is nothing but ordinary. Although the plot, cast and theme slightly differ from the other Kdramas I have seen I still pursued and completed the series. It was only towards the end that character and lines reflected the realities of life in a captivating way. Other than that, I found the first episode a bit of drag and didn't leave viewers to anticipate for the next episode. It's the first drama I have seen where there are four guys fighting for one woman's affection/attention. I think it is far-fetched. The story dragged for quite a lot of episodes before the female lead could shed some light to the actual standing of all the 'men' in her life. The drama started in pursuit to produce a film that led to series of unfotunate events in the lives of people connected to the protagonist. Only one thing stood out, unfortunately!Esta resenha foi útil para você?

Skip The Final Episode
It's funny and at times extremely heart-wrenching. I liked the cast, the directing and the story was engaging but ridiculous at the same time. The final episode was absurd and basically phoned in which is extremely disappointing after sitting through 16 episodes (the ending was unsatisfying). I was impressed however by how long they were able to draw-out who the father was, I usually don't have the patience for it, but they kept me engaged with the other storylines. I thought it was well acted especially the child actors, the main character is enjoyable for the most part (nice facial expressions-great scene of her defending the children from the kidnappers in the van), but she was a disaster as a mother. They try to portray her as successful single mother, but obviously the grandmother helped raised the girl. The mother couldn't even tell her daughter or her own mother the truth about who the father was, "she lied for 14 yrs" creating unnecessary pain for all involved. I may need to take a break from Korean Dramas, tired of getting disappointed with final episodes. Crash Landing On You also had a strange ending as well.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

Was it coincidence? Fate? Destiny? Or Was it love?
At first i don't know if i want to keep watching the drama since it's kind of like you can pass it and not dinish it, but when jihyos character met the guys and the mystery about who is the fathet is, it gets exciting and jihyos daughter acting really impress me, i lovehow they keep making you guest who's the father and then when they revealed it you'll be frustrated and ask why they can't just be together. I'd love to watch again except i don't like how they ended it like that. But still a great story, and a fun to watch!!!Esta resenha foi útil para você?
not as bad as many of the reviews say, but the FL is incredibly frustrating
I didn't hate this as much as many other ppl say.that said, the FL is incredibly frustrating. she is the cause of almost all the problems the other characters have, and yet she sees herself as the victim.
i understand why ppl may drop it, but for me, it wasn't so bad as to need to drop. also, I liked the ML. he was certainly imperfect, but I got where he was coming from.
the OST is basically the same cover of that Cranberries song over and over again.
overall, it's not the worst thing I've ever seen, but I wouldn't go out of your way to watch this either. this drama is may e for when you've already watched every other drama. then you can get to this one.

Worst writing for a female lead; many unlikable characters; maybe worth watching for Son Ho Jun
Did we see the limit in Song Ji Hyo's acting abilities here - or was the writing of many characters in this show really that bad? Show pushed too hard for laughs and fake drama. Maybe still worth watching for Son Ho Jun's huge versatility. Whether you put him in comedy or drama, he excels. It's not really a matter of the story being unlikely - because for me it's in the telling. This show's biggest problem was a matter of tone. It just didn't know what mood to strike. This resulted in a very strident characterization of the female lead, and cartoony characters like the Chinese mafia gang member, the successful actor Ryu Jin, and Song Ji Jyo's female rival. What a waste of the cast. Too many unlikable characters.
Too bad about this story really. It had too many subplots going on that watered down the story and diverted from the central, worthwhile plot - how did single mom manage all those years without the father of her child.
