They truncated the outcome of the story and gave it an end that in my opinion was the one they had initially planned

I loved it, love how they dealt with the aftermath. Completely happy with the ending, right up until the last 30 secs, and then OMGWTFWASTHATSHIT? Honestly, I am so confused. I doubt I'll remember mush about this series beyond that ending, until someone gives me an answer.
