was hyped for this to finish, so could start binge watching & made the mistake of reading the comments before i started... talk about party poopers o(≧∀≦)o so think this time around won't continue as i usually do. cause after watching the 1st ep am totally in.*****************************************************************************************************************************************this was fun, didn't go as i accepted considering the description. but all in all an interesting plot & character's that am looking forward to how they will develop.*****************************************************************************************************************************************Han Jun Oh is the typical spoilt brat that gets away with murder, cause there is an enabler around that has made him this way. case in point Han Min Oh the over protective, over indulgent older brother that is also his manager(ノへ ̄、). little wonder he is the way he is? he for sure knows how to work hard when he wants to, like with that b*tch of a gf (ex gf). he not stupid, but so smitten he was letting her walk all over him, which he usually doesn't enable - so "celebs with sh*tty attitudes aside" HJO's problem is his enabling older brother. ***********************************************************************************************Do Ha was harder to read, i get that he is the aggrieved, grudge holding murdered husband that has attached himself to his killer wife's soul. but until the last moment he didn't realize why she did what she did, who she was?!? given the time period he was from shouldn't "An eye for an eye" be the modus operandi then?!? \(〇_o)/ but i guess when ur holding a grudge, logic won't register (≧∇≦)ノ*****************************************************************************************************************************************the monk was the only bit that made me raise my eyebrow, like if he's running scared & avoiding ghosts, who can one turn to when possessed?!? weird -

SPOILER ALERT! [8,5/10]

A good introduction episode that is enough to keep me wanting to watch the next episodes, but at the same time, don't know what to anticipate. Usually, we can see the main character's motivation in the first episode, but this one only serves as an appetiser. There are a lot of scenes and information to digest, but they're easy to follow. Despite having many characters shown in an episode, it's easy to remember who is who, and which supporting character is related to which main character. The sequence of the scenes isn't linear, so we get flashbacks here and there. I'm really interested to know why Rita reincarnated to Younghwa, but Doha didn't reincarnate. Instead, it took him more than a thousand years for his soul to possess the dead body of Junoh, a man who 100% looks like him. I also didn't know what to make of the flashback scenes Doha had with Rita. Were they lovers? Did they get together before Rita's parents were sentenced to death, or did Rita make Doha fall in love with him to avenge her family's deaths? I have no expectations for now, but I hope Junoh's brother won't turn into a villain. I wonder if he's also a reincarnation. I need to know why he spoiled Junoh so bad and let him become a clueless, dependant brat.

The viewing experience fluctuated a lot during that first episode. They opened with an awesome bloody fighting scene, historical setting, hints of angsty love, betrayal, revenge - all the good stuff. Then we've got the the present time with good introduction to an interesting and likeable female lead. But the moment they introduced the present version of the male lead I was honestly disappointed and wanted to go back to historical setting right away. Luckily the ending got me hyped again, ending the episode of the high note and a lot of potential. I'm not sure how I feel about the opening sequence, but the first few scenes that set up the plot and the context for the historical part - it was so... chaotic. I get that they don't want to reveal all the story, but they either showed too much or too little. You can get the idea of what happened so there is no true anticipation and questions left, but at the same time, they skipped through all the scenes and important moments in a matter of 1 minute - it's like getting a whole picture, but drawn in a shitty way.
