Pang Zi and Wu Xie start using unconventional means to escape the mining camp and almost manage to do so but Wu Xie stays behind. He strikes a deal with the boss of the soldiers and is bought out of his enslavement by Hei Yan Jing's friend. They manage to buy the soldiers' time to help them free Er Bai and the others and manage to trap Boss Jiao but Zi Suan arrives with Liu Sang and Pang Zi as hostages. Boss Jiao makes his escape. Wu Xie breaks down and Liu Sang finally reveals to everyone that Wu Xie is ill and will die soon.
