Meu Príncipe Por 100 Dias (2018)

When I started to watch this drama, things were going the way it was expected to be. People who often watch kdramas and historical dramas are very used to a certain MO and even script-writers tend to follow the model. '100 Days My Prince' rejects the usual. We are introduced to a peasent world and a peasent's point of view in that time, something very unusual in a historical drama. We get to see the rich, the poor and the rich becoming poor - the last one, very entertaining and funny in a way you can laugh and remember about the scene and continue to think "ah, it was so funny!".
As the title says, the couple stays 100 days married in a village as poor people and the drama takes most of its episodes in that scenario. That's why a lot of people say they don't like the script and they are afraid the plot will be rushed at the end - but if the responsible for this is a good story-teller, you don't need to worry. People say they don't like it because they are afraid and because de M.O is different - it tends to cause a strange feeling to longtime kdrama viewers but I must insist that it has been very good till now.
The actors are very capable, not only the main couple, but also the supporting cast. We don't need the main actors in scene to be entertained and I think this is rare.
In conclusion, is it worth watching it? Yes, of course! It is very cute, but it feels more real too. It is a little bit different and the way the plot resolves itself may feel slow to you who often watches kdramas, but every episode will entertain you and personally this makes me more curious towards the end ;)

The most frustrating ML I've watched so far!!!!!

I'm giving this a low rating because I HATE the ML!!!! I'm only 4 episodes in and I want some one punch that SOB right now. Why is everyone giving into all his demands and protecting him from all the consequences? I was expecting more of a fighting spirit in the FL and so far I'm completely disappointed. If some character development doesn't happen soon I'll have to quit watching and move on. I started this show because I was expecting a little hearted historical romantic comedy with cute leads. The clichés are all there and that's fine, that's expected. If the writers and director meant for this first part to be cute and funny, it falls woefully short.

So far, the music isn't anything memorable. The only thing I like right now is the scenery and the support cast.
I'll edit if it gets any better.

I was a little late to start this, but I basically binge watched the first five episodes within the last two days. That’s all that is available at the moment and I am itching.l for tonight’s installment! I like the story, it is engaging and well planned out. It can be slow In some scenes, but overall watch quality of the show is worth a try. I am a little picky about acting but it isn’t too bad and I am enjoying the drama. This drama was once on my list and for some reason, I had dropped it. Big mistake! I finally did watch it and completed watching it last night. Everything about this drama was great. I can't express enough how cute EXO Kpop Idol Doh Kyung So was in this drama. This is a rewatch for me! Kim Jae Young, wow, his acting abilities, to play the type of character that he did in this drama was phenomenal. Good Lord, I'm scared of him in a good way! Nam Ji Hyun, another strong female lead, I loved her acting, she was very believable. The producers and screenwriter had me all the way to the last episode with me talking to myself, pulling petals off a daisy, "are they" or "are they not"? lmao, This is a good watch people. It does have some suspense, amnesia, and martial arts, but overall I really enjoyed it. Thank you to the team!

100 Days of Patience

The drama was mostly a slice of life drama with minimum story. The concept is fairly simple and was done before, "Save the Last Dance for Me (2004)" comes to mind immediately. The leads had a good characterization and received an equally fulfilling performance by their cast. Which also why the leads had a good dynamic going on. However, its biggest problem is its lack in variety. Since it's a slice of life, the cast felt limited in size while jumping between the same few members of cast. They also lacked a unique variety in their archetypes to help keep the drama lively and vibrant. The same thing can be said about its lacking length of 75min x 16 episodes. There were too many slow and uninteresting sequences that dragged each episode too far. A slice of life doesn't equal boring when they're done right. If this drama were to be cut down to 6-7 episodes it would have been much better.

This one's quite a cute rom com.
With the sageuk background, of course there would be a lot of unnecessary power struggles between the main character and the people in the palace
but honestly I watched this for the main couple's romance. And it was worth it.
I'm also happy that the main characters aren't stupid (like a lot of rom com tropes are)

The acting could be better; they're pretty new actors afterall. But the chemistry from youthful (inexperienced) love is there and I was rooting for them so hard!

Would recommend if you're in for some fluff. The male lead really knows how to win a girl's heart.

I never write any reviews but this time I must, simply because of the fact that this is the first kdrama in a long time that has me on the edge of my seat. The story line is kind of generic with themes such as revenge, family hate, and love overcoming that hate, but there are some very fresh events that keep this drama entertaining. For example we already had a plot twist in the second episode, one that I can guarantee none of you will see either.

As for the acting, dang DO makes a fine crown prince, and his hate and rebellion makes his character so much more interesting. I honestly think his fathers acting pales in comparison just because the crown prince has such a strong character. As for the female lead I'm very neutral, shes not bad nor good, she doesn't really stand out to me that much so I want to see how her character develops.

As for the cinematography, it's top. Good quality and beautiful scenic shots, I gave the music an ok score just because I was so interested in what was going on I didn't even pay attention to the OST, so I don't even remember what was played.

Either way I am definitely going to continue watching this, I can't wait till next week!
