As Lendas Episode 1
A brief narrated history of how the Demon King's son, Li Chen Lan, ended up sealed in the mountain and why it is called Fengmo Mountain (meaning Mountain of Sealed Evil). Lu Zhao Yao is lonely and bored, living only with her Grandpa on Fengmo Mountain. Her direct family line has the duty of guarding the Demon King's seal, but one day, she disturbs that seal.
Shortly after this, Luo Ming Xuan breaks into the mountain with the intention of killing the Demon King's son so he can never escape. However, this is unsuccessful. He ends up accidentally releasing the Demon King's son and getting injured in the process. Ming Xuan was found by Zhao Yao and nursed back to health. During this time, he shares stories of the outside. The two get along well. An infatuated Zhao Yao wants to "choose to be a good person" and "bring peace to Jianghu" like him.
Ming Xuan's friends look for him. Qin Qian Xian (of Thousand Dust Pavilion) agrees to lend a hand in helping to locate Ming Xuan. Meanwhile, the Demon King's son wakes up alone, and is bullied in the nearby village.

(Random thing, but that girl is so bored she'd take a mosquito bite? Girl you need my blood. You won't have that problem. They can find me for miles.)
So how was Lu Zhao Yao's mom and dad able to leave? Plus, everyone else? They all didn't just die? Not to mention why did her grandfather not take down that seal on the mountain? He lied to her and now they're still destined to stay there? Not to mention it sounds like the outside world dislikes her clan. So does that mean they have ties to the Demon King since they promised to keep the son in? But it felt like that was wrong and that the story is saying something else. I'm a gonna rewatch that prologue at the beginning.
Bird romance! No really! Huh. I think the beautiful Golden Deity liked, likes her! How could he resist. She's a lovely lead!! Not to mention when he got back I think he was acting super rash about the Demon King's son. Hmmmm. It seems odd that the Golden Deity is just assuming that this son of the Demon King is evil. I mean from what we've been shown this son is really good. (Where did puppy go!!!?) So is he trying to get rid of this poor kid simply to let Zhao Yao be free?
Also, the passage of time is getting super foggy. It seemed like a decent amount of time passed while Zhao Yao was taking care of Golden Deity. Yet, it was only a few days when his buddies came to get him. Is the passage of time different?
Especially with all of Zhao Yao is training. The most important part, and use, of a montage is to show viewers that time has passed. Normally lots of time. All the training montage shows there's a passage of time there. It clearly showed the changing of seasons. I'm not liking this. Though I know other fantasy Wuxia have the passage of time is different in realms. So I wonder if the seal puts them outside of the mortal realms passage? I don't like it when the viewer is left to fill in blanks. What if this was my first fantasy Wuxia type of C-drama? You wouldn't have some of the basics of Chinese mythology or what's normal.
So here I am getting all excited about Zhao Yao breaking out of the seal. Boom evil cliffhanger kicks in. BOOM! Epic ending credits OST! That song is awesome i must find it. Not to mention it made me watch the whole MV for it. This drama looks A-mazing! They've sucked me in! Despite it's rough start with the info on the world/realms and how the heirocracy and natural enemies are, AKA rough information giving I feel really intrigued. I'm gonna rewatch that info dump of a prologue for sure. That ending MV for the credits makes me want to full invest in this drama. Whole heartedly. Because the female lead is all kinds of awesome and it looks like she gets to stay all kinds of awesome during the show! Yeah!
