Best Character Chemistry and Character Development
Anyone who watches K-Dramas knows this Drama. Fantastic performances by every character. A stand out main character, but not the lead, is Kyung Soo-Jin's Shi Ho. While not being the lead or even being a very likeable character, the performance by the actress Kuung Soo-Jin makes her memorable and detailed, a character you can relate to and understand clearly. I was hooked onto her story just as much as our leads, if not more than our lead's stories. It's also amazing fun to watch our main characters go through very real, grounding events, something that a lot of K-Dramas lack reasonable writing on. Both touching and lighthearted, I highly recommend this series and go back to it often.
No need to speak about the wonderful leads; in my opinion, the best performance I've seen from both actors. But we all know they're good, and they don't disappoint but rather exceed my expectations in this series.
The romance is exciting and never too far-reaching. It feels real and calls you back to romances you felt in your youth. Lovely drama and I will be watching it again and again.

Cliché but cute
I have to admit that there were scenes where it cringing me, there were some scenes where I actually skipped. But I guess it's just an innate feel when it comes to romcoms. I it doesn't matter anyways. The storyline is pretty cliché, it never amazed me but the way how the characters made it lighter and funny makes me even love it more.
I love how it shows a normal relationship of couple, it shows that no matter how "perfect" you think it is, there still have an up and down, there were times you have to fight but still know how to get each other's back.
The friendships they had was irreplacable.
I have nothing much more to comment but this drama made me happy for a while.

Wonderful!!
it's one of those dramas that you just don't want to end. A sweet story about love, uni, friendship, and lots of food.I couldn't get into this last year when I tried watching Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo right after finishing Start-Up! I really didn't like Nam Joo Hyuk character in that show and so didn't gel with this one.
Thankfully, however, Twenty-Five, Twenty-One changed all that and I'm so glad I revisited this show.
Firstly, our protagonist (Kim Bok Joo) played by the wonderful Lee Sung Kyung is so adorable that you can't not fall in love with her. Her story was lovely - finding out that she's a woman and not just a weightlifter, will resonate with a lot of people.
Joon Hyeong's character works so well with her too and you get why Nam Joo Hyuk is such a good actor.
I don't want to spoil it for you but will say to just go and watch it. Enjoy its purity and have fun!

You'll power through this show happily
This is a rather fun show that had a lot of hype surrounding it and largely delivered. The acting was phenomenal and the story beautifully crafted a message about struggling through adversity imposed internally and externally, finding the new sense of willpower once you are mentally burned out.Lee Sung-Kyung was superb in her role and she carried this shoulder like a barbell made out of paper. Her character was endearing, flawed but always with a giant heart and she enjoyed a terrific chemistry with Nam Joo Hyuk's character. I would say however, the character who I was most interested by was Kyung Soo-Jin's character, Song Shi Ho. Her story of turmoil, hardship and quiet despair played out in front of others without anyone noticing a young woman crumbling under the pressures of her responsibilities. Her story was captivating, Kyung Soo-Jin's acting terrific, and though I felt the resolutions were a little too neat between her and some of the other characters, I was happy for her by the end. She really was fantastic.
I'm a little less enthusiastic about Nam Joo Hyuk's character, who though a main character himself, was really just a prop throughout for Kim Bok Joo. He was a swimmer who suffered from anxiety and yet this was rarely given the screen-time it deserved. There was also a family drama at the end that was written and concluded essentially over an episode or two when it deserved so much more. This show could have been an all-time kdrama great, at least for this decade, but barring the two lead female characters, the rest just weren't very interesting.
I would recommend this to everyone however. The story is still really engaging and some of the core elements that make a kdrama show great were there in abundance.

This drama is one of my favourites. It was so realistic and pure.
When I watched "It's Okay, That's Love" I always have a feeling that Lee Sung Kyung would be an amazing main actress, and here's the proof. She is so pretty *__*
Nam Joo Hyuk....I simply love him he's so cute and handsome. No doubt they made a perfect couple.
I fell in love with all the characters, minus those disgusting dancers and the ex .... so annoying -_-
One of the things I loved the most was the scenery it was so beautiful and natural.
The story was not exaggerated, it was simple and realist.
I felt that the OST gave a sense of happiness and energy to everything.
What else can I say? Perfect beginning, perfect plot, perfect romance with comedy, perfect story and perfect ending.
It's sad that Lee Sung Kyung and Nam Joo Hyuk broke up, they were actually so perfect togheter

Comfort Romance
This drama was absolutely awesome. If you want a drama which is light, funny and has a happy ending this is the best. The cast is amazing. The drama is very funny. It portrays life, friendship, hard work, romance, and success. The story is amazing and it is taken in a very beautiful way. This drama just makes us ourselves. There is no stress or any crying. It's just very beautiful and slow and calm. We just get into the drama and become the characters. Everything was just too good, the cast, food, places, and relationship.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

Watch:Viki & Amazon Prime
This is a comedy, coming of age and slice of life drama. Really enjoyed the layers and the stories. I know I'm watching a good drama when I try to pace my watch time so it won't end. The acting was fantastic and the writing was great! I will be looking up more of their work.
This show does have flaws that I'll mention below. That being said the part that stands out is the way they wrote mentle health. It was done respectfully and naturally. There's a part where I had rewind it multiple times because my tears blurred my vision, so I couldn't read the subtitles. I can't put into words how impressed I was by that scene. This is the first drama where I have seen charcters not only mention but go to therapy. Where they get the help they need and have a support system. That's the number one reason this show is getting a post and is rewatch worthy in my book. This is first a comedy but it does have heart and you might have some tears while watching.
😘What I liked:
*The leads are friends in real life so the chemistry was 100% natural and believable.
*I was invested in all the charcters and their lives. Never felt bored or wanting to skip around. That's really rare at least in my watching experience.
*The friendships!
*Mental health representation.
😕What I did not like:
*Language I watched it on Viki and they filter it out. So I didn't see it as much but I don't know if thats the same with Amazon Prime.
*The physical abuse, by the family, friends and coaches. Some of it gets addressed but very poorly. This is an "old" drama made in 2016 and I have noticed the newier ones do this better. DM me if you want specific examples.

Chemistry was amazing
This drama was just a feel good, romantic comedy piece of happiness. It’s like eating a warm chocolate cake with a milkshake on the side, type happiness.
The leads (apparently were dating irl at the time) had amazing chemistry, and maybe this is why the chemistry was so good. I felt their characters were played brilliantly. I live for their scenes together.
Female leads character was a bit annoying at times with her pouting but I got used to it.
The story was cute, it was easy to watch (read: binge) , and it was a feel good with a little bit of the reality of life mixed in.

Enjoyable but overrated
Its a pretty decent one time watch , but it is highly overrated .It was a very happy and casual story , with some surprising twists and turns , but those definitely do not increase its rewatch value for me ! I wished there was more to MLs story than being a lover boy , I mean they showed very less about his performances ! I really liked their SWAAAAG though ! :)
I will urge people to rate the shows based on the content and overall effect and not because they are fans of certain actors .
I mean this show is having 8.8 rating at MDL , is it really comparable to Reply 1988 / flower of evil /healer category ?

You won't regret watching this !
Oh mannn...... I can't even express how much I love this drama through words. When I say this drama has a special place in my heart, I mean it. It's a must watch for those who love soft hearted dramas. Simple, yet meaningful. You will definitely fall in love with the lead characters. Their chemistry is on point. I doubt if you will ever get over this couple. The plot is nice too. They deal with their own problems which might give you an idea about yours too. I have rewatched it as well and I can assure you that you will have no regrets after watching it ;)I know this review was too short and that's 'cause this is my first one and I don't have a lot of experience in writing reviews. I'm still learning : ) But YOU CAN DEFINITELY GIVE THIS SHOW A TRY !!

A basic show made exceptional coz of extremely lovable leads!!!
Ok….I honestly enjoyed this a lot..was in my watchlist since god knows when but other dramas always took precedence over it ..maybe the title was a bit off-putting for me…but I decided to watch one episode at random and found it extremely charming and binged it within 2 days..Was the drama perfect by any means? No..will it come in my all-time favs? Probably not.. but there was just this endearing quality about the show that just made me feel all warm and happy and fuzzy throughout its runtime..for me the show worked best when it focused on the relationship between its 2 protagonists and the bromance between the 2 brothers and friendship between bok ju and her friends…coming to the biggest strength of the show..its the chemistry between the leads..i have no words..like honestly it’s one of the best I have seen..it’s their scenes together that breathe magic into an otherwise basic plot and I found myself swooning and giggling in a lot of their scenes ….it’s in the second half from ep 10 onwards that the drama really soars and the leads are the main reason for that ..their cute moments after becoming a couple are everything.. The character of Kim bok ju and joon hyung are very well written and performed excellently by both the actors...coming to a few gripes that I have ..it’s when the plot tries to focus on the subplots is where it loses its charm..I would like to point out a few aspects which I found were jarring to an otherwise beautiful series..the ex-girlfriend plot though added zing to the relationship of the leads, her individual plotline of going through a lot of troubles and facing depression etc was not interesting enough and felt out of place ..also the whole love triangle plot of the coaches and bok ju’s uncle was unnecessary. The middle 4 episodes from 5 to 8 wherein they portrayed Bok ju’s one sided love for the doctor weren’t that interesting and didn’t do much in terms of progression of the plot…bujt these are minor nit-picks in an otherwise enchanting series..

Sweet coming of age drama with the cutest romance
Weightlifting fairy Kim Bok Joo is a perfect coming of age drama. It looks into the thought process of youngsters; what motivates them and also their insecurities in that stage of life. The drama touches not just on subjects of career and romance, but also on friendship and family in a healthy manner. I especially loved how it included whole hearted conversations between the ML and his brother, which is very rare to find.I found the FL a bit immature for her age, I wanted to see more of her passion towards her career, but it eneded up being more about her conquering her personal insecurities of beauty. The ML on the other hand is an absolute sweetheart from all aspects, and kudos to him for sticking around with the FL for soo long! XD
The romance is by far the cutest I have seen in any kdrama. Although it was a slow burn, it compensates for it in the last 4 episodes which is full of fluff! Absolutely the cutest! Also, since the romance is based out of pure friendship ( and not infatuation), it makes the couple all the more loveable.
Overall, it is a great watch especially for young adults who are going through this stage of life, where they are figuring out themselves and have great aspirations in life. They would find it the most relatable; but for the romance would 10/10 recommend it to everyone!
