Survive in injusticement world....... HWAITINGGG :)))
Starting from my curiosity about this school drama, I decided to watch "angry mom" which in my opinion is different because it is usually the rom-com genre and this time is about bullying. My review....Hahahaha Honestly when I watched the beginning episode, I felt bored because I didn't think it was interesting. But after I endured and watched it until the end. This drama is pretty good enough for portraying the reality that happens when bullying occurs. This drama is also very unique because it tells the worries of a mother whose child is being bullied into a high school student. This drama, also shows that Injustice is really being shown clearly. Justice here is judged in terms of money so that their children get the best treatment at school. I have mixed feelings when watched this, I felt surprised when a student be a victim of her teacher as her boyfriend. As a teacher, Jeong Woo made pregnant his student and he killed her after she knew his secret. This is so cruel. Several scenes also annoy me, such as when perpetrators were arrested, but because they involve people in power, they can escape the law and even the evidence becomes worthless. This drama also depicts betrayal. I'm annoyed again when Kang Ja trusted Ae Yeon and entrusted evidence to a friend who had betrayed her. Foolish and very stupid act. ☹.Time goes and finally, Justice and law began to operate after the collapse of the Myeongsong building incident, which from the beginning endanger and very risky. As a result, it kills 6 people. It's sad to see this huhuhu…. especially ah ran appa died cause tried to minimize risk from building's collapse. This is quite a big case, especially involving money laundering to fund the campaign for the Minister of Education who will run as a presidential candidate. Can you imagine? Their children are bullied and get unfair treatment, but parents who report to the police station and even the Education Office have no results because everything is bribed and the crimes are rooted at the highest level, namely the minister of education.
From this drama, I also realized that all people are actually born good but because broken home during they grow up, change them into monsters like Deo Jeong Woo Saem who is not acclaimed as a child by the Minister of Education. Joo Yae Eon must take that path by betraying her friend and be willing to be beaten by his superiors to survive. Go Bok Dong, who is actually a good son but by his cool handed hit the other kids because he got orders from his boss, Dong Chil that he couldn't fight cause dong chil finance his life. His parents already died and his brother was imprisoned. So, no one can protect him. But he changed slowly to be a kind and loving child after Kang Ja gives her compassion that he never get before.
This drama closes with justice after a struggle and greatness with mothers who speak up the injustice finally paid off and punished the perpetrators of myeongsong's incident I also want to convey my appreciation to all mothers in this world who always try to protect their children, including my mom. Kang Ja's message to us... We must be strong to fight injustice even though sometimes the path is very difficult. I quite enjoy the message and storyline of the drama Angry Mom. For you k-drama lovers who are experiencing or have experienced this injustice. You can make this a reference to speak up against injustice. I hope law will more stronger to beat injusticement in all the world. 😊.

about the story, the main concern also bold enough, how corrupt the school system and they can expose every filthy things there then ended it.
not many people talk about this drama back then, maybe because the story runs a bit slower in the first half (around 5 episodes) but over all it is still can be one of the good drama to watch. i’m not into melodramatic movie and this one (as i remember it), dont have many of melodramatic scene.

Maternal Love Meets Social Justice
Angry Mom is a 16-episode South Korean drama that aired in 2015, blending family dynamics, school life, and societal critiques. The story follows Jo Kang-ja (Kim Hee-sun), a former rebellious teen turned protective mother, who disguises herself as a high school student to protect her daughter, Oh Ah-ran (Kim Yoo-jung), from severe bullying. Along the way, she confronts systemic corruption and abuses of power within the educational system. The drama’s strength lies in its powerful storytelling, addressing themes like bullying, school violence, and the impact of systemic corruption. Kim Hee-sun delivers an emotionally compelling performance, and Ji Soo’s Go Bok-dong offers a nuanced transformation from antagonist to ally. However, the plot stretches believability, especially regarding Kang-ja's undercover role, and some secondary arcs are underdeveloped due to pacing issues.
The series combines intense emotional moments with social commentary, highlighting the challenges parents and students face within flawed systems. While its heavy themes might be overwhelming for some viewers, the drama’s heartfelt message and high production quality make it engaging.
Overall, it stands out as a thought-provoking and emotionally resonant series, offering a compelling critique of education and societal norms.

Its weird, enjoyable funny, dark and emotional all at the same time !
Thoroughly enjoyed this drama !It is a bit unbelievable for me given so much politics and violence in a school. Also, the mother easily passing off as a highschooler is again weird.
But leaving this aside the story is very interesting. It slowly unfolds with small twists and turns along the way. It keeps you engaged till the end. It has its funny elements even when the backdrop is dark and serious. You can see sparks flying around - There is no romance - which I am glad since it wouldn't fit in the drama. What they have shown is quite sufficient and fitting.
I also liked how slowly the mother daughter relationship changed. All the characters had the space and time to develop and grow. Well-written characters!
The cast did a great job. I loved the acting.
Not a fan of the OST though.
Overall I felt it was worth all the time.

Best mom ever
I don't think there are many actresses out there able to pull a believable 17 years old school girl and a 32 years old mom at the same time, but Kim Hee Seon did it with flying colours !Loved her a rebelious teenager who overcame tragedy and sacrificed herself to provide a good family for her daughter at the cost of a sublevel husband and hag of a mother inlaw. Then she comes to life as her feisty young self and goes back to school under assumed identity to protect her daughter from bullies.
A beautuful, complex story, dark abd comedic, brave and heartbreaking, with unexpected romance,

As ridiculous as the plot sounds, welcome to the school full of monsters
Let me start with, this isn't just comedy. Also I don't recommend this to people who are already down or depressed because some parts might trigger you (although it's not visually graphic, the theme is too dark.) Viewer discretion is advised. So to give you a backstory, I've watched this years ago and I remembered liking this series (but I already forgot what it's all about) so I decided to re-watch it. I realized that the reason I forgot about it is because of all the dark matters that's in this drama.
I admit that the drama started really well making you curious how far will this ridiculous idea go through. There are also funny bits here and there but as the story starts to uncover the secrets of the school, you'll realize that this mom opened a Pandora box. The issue in this drama is really heavy but it was able to relay the message that sometimes this big issues of bullying became unnoticed because the adults are not listening or paying attention to the students and also selfish and greedy adults exploits students' innocence.
The characters in the series are also wide variety. From this strong mom, to the innocent students that have different attitudes and have different ways of coping up based on their circumstances. The villains that will really piss you up and also the characters in the grey area. I love that most of the characters was given reasonable depth and character development. Although, the one I really loved the most is BokDong's character. It had lots of variation throughout the series and also the source of most comedic relief.
The songs used in this series is really catchy however there were a few times that it actually ruined the mood of the scene.
Overall, I really loved the drama and all however I already grew tired of corruption and heavy dramas. I felt like everything is being dragged on because all this type of drama usually gets resolved only at the last episode.
The message is good and all but maybe not for me. For those who's into this kind of heavy drama with all the good guys trying to bring this bad guys down, this is a decent story that portrays that. So I recommend you to watch this.
