Lee Yeong Oh is a genius neurosurgeon who just came back to Korea after finishing his studies abroad. He now works with his father, Lee Gun Myung, who is the head of the cardio-cerebrovascular center at Hyunsung hospital. On the day of the opening of the new cardio-cerebrovascular center, Kang Chul Min, a middle-aged man causes a scene and tries to attack Kim Myung Soo, an assemblyman and aspiring presidential candidate. Chul Min gets taken away and traffic policewoman, Gye Jin Sung, sees him being run over by a car deliberately. She takes the victim to Hyunsung hospital, where at first Yeong Oh refuse to operate but is convinced by Cardiothoracic Surgeon Hyun Suk Joo, Jin Sung's crush, to do a cooperative operation. The patient dies during the operation and Surgeon Suk Joo and policewoman Jin Sung start suspecting Yeong Oh of foul play. The video of the operation is deleted and the body was switched to fool the medical examiners. Jin Sung goes to Yeong Oh's office and searches his computer to find that he has the surgery's video. Contradictory Much?

The show clearly stresses the female lead’s knowledge of the law (more than once), yet failed to follow through on the fact that a POLICE OFFICER witnessed an INTENTIONAL HIT AND RUN (which therefore constitutes attempted murder), during which her vehicle was damaged (i.e. leaving the scene of ANOTHER accident, saying there wasn’t enough to move forward with an investigation?? Furthermore, this chick who’s such a stickler for following the police handbook to a T, not only proceeds to contaminate the evidence by picking up the keychain at the scene, but also after noting there wasn’t any CCTV in the area, didn’t attempt to take photos of the scene?? Seriously?! Let’s ignore the fact that she didn’t try to take a photo of the vehicle fleeing the scene (let’s go with she froze up), but even for a fender bender the parties take photos, never mind the POLICE who take more if they’re called to the scene of an accident. Let’s not focus on the man dying on the ground (yeah let’s be narcissistic for a minute) and point out AGAIN the significant damage to her vehicle... I mean, pictures? Anyone? And why in hell did she keep referring to it as a murder not attempted murder? I hope that was simply poor translation. AND! As a police officer, why didn’t she make sure the scene was secure and CSI or at least another officer was on site before leaving? Let’s not even begin to dig in to the medical side of things (like a joint surgery of that kind and under those conditions is just something you decide to do and simply dive right on into, for starters). I have sooo many issues with the writing in this episode! If the show wasn’t presenting itself as one where the doctors and police were clearly supposed to be on the upper end of the spectrum for being well- versed in their respective fields, I’d be more inclined to let this stuff go. But that’s not the case. The writers should have done their homework.I get the goal of the writers and even like where they’re attempting to with this but I’m extremely disappointed with the execution and all its sloppiness.

OMG! I just watched more. How dumb is this chick? Why in hell didn’t she stop to think that a deaf kid wouldn’t have made that phone call to the morgue?! Killing me! And why in hell would the medical examiner not have been given that information.

I'm so confused...

I didn't understand most of what was going on in this episode... but I really want to know what happens next. Why was the guy killed? Who killed him? Where does the Yeong Oh guy fit in? WHAT IS HIS DADS DEAL!? Omg.
I hope that guys deaf son appears again, I almost cried because of his acting after the operation scene.
I think my opinion so far in the drama is that it's really confusing, however it'll probably make sense if I watch some more. The editing and cinematography are really good so to be honest if nothing else, it'd be worth watching it for that :)
