Well

I was so wrong it's honestly kind of funny-- things could in fact get worse heheh (I hate my life). I ask again, why can't we let the man be happy for ONCE? I'm going to kms I swear to God, y'all cannot make me get attached to a character and then make him suffer

Woahhh slow down with the existential angst

You cannot start the series with a silly ass first episode to follow it up with THIS. I demand compensation. I cried so much it's ridiculous T-T I didn't really care about his ex dying, even though that must be heartbreaking-- but the scenes with Miae and how they slowly drifted apart killed me. Fuckk my life

Alright

I think I would have been better off not reading the reviews before watching because I was fully convinced that this was going to be depressive and dramatic but it wasn't like that at all.. I have been fooled

Basic

They check all the boxes for a perfect happy ending, but I still found it boring and basic compared to what we got in other episodes. I stand by what I thought a while back- they should have ended the series at 10 episodes. The story was drawn-out when it didn't need to be and it became repetitive. I also didn't really like how Yoryak's trauma was handled bc I'm sorry, why did it look so goofy?? Idk it wasn't done that well and I think it shouldn't have been an element of the plot at all. Not to mention that neither of the main leads seem to have much experience with acting out big emotional scenes, despite their amazing chemistry. ---- To end on a good note, though, the wedding was so cute and I love that it could now happen irl too T-T

Ok acting

I'm going to be honest I only started watching because I recognize one of the main actors from Lovely Writer and the other one is so fkn pretty but anyway -- it was surprisingly good?? Joe's actor is very expressive and I loved watching him. I guess the plot is a bit trope-y but I don't really mind that. And I feel so sad for Joe because he's clearly going to get treated like a ragdoll the entire time, and he's so nice T-T Anyway I liked it except for the drunk hookup at the end-- why does every series keep trying to make it a thing? No thanks

Mixed feelings

Exhibitionism is such a weird kink bc what do you mean A RESTROOM?? That's gotta be like top 10 nastiest places to hook up in. And also.. why did I like Sol and Joe more than Ming and Joe kind offfff

Well...

Ok so after idk how much time stalling I finally finished the series and I have mixed feelings about this episode. First of all, I think that time jumps as a storytelling device are kind of weak for this kind of series. It's not long enough to evoke nostalgia, and it tries to force a sense of character growth that the viewer hasn't been present for. Why did it have to be three years later? What impact does that have on the story, that the viewer is aware of? The characters are practically the same -they only have different occupations. Second of all - Mhok was way too insistent when trying to get Day back. I understand that Day is kind of into it, but if I were him I'd be turned off by the repeated unasked physical contact, babying, and on-the-nose pleas for a second chance. Then, about the wedding -beautiful, amazing, I love Phojai and Night so much. And finally. I don't like that Day got his sight back. I'll expand on this in the review.

idk man I'm just bored

The main couple is so good (and so is the other one), but I just don't care about the dramaaa - like I think it's still the acting or smth because I found myself skipping ahead multiple times during the episode. Also hated the scene where they're clowns bc what are y'all doinggg not in front of the kids aghhh

Kind of... ok

I'm not going to lie, I can feel that they wanted me to love this episode but I didn't. It's fine, it's not bad at all, but I found it lacking in many aspects. For starters, I don't think the emotional scenes were that well acted. The actors have great chemistry, but when they're going through or recounting such heartwrenching situations I just don't *feel* that sadness yk? I guess I'll never be the same after the acting in Bad Buddy oh well. And another thing, I'd have preferred the dad to stay as a morally grey character. He did abandon his kids after all, and it felt like they forgave him completely without a reason? I think he's a deeply flawed individual who's been hurt and has hurt others, and both sides of him should be acknowledged.

Relatable

Just like in the og I sympathize so much with Atom and Mudmee because sports will never be my thing. I love all the couples but, just like in the og, I don't really like Kongthap/Ida's response to being confessed to. "More than friends but less than boyfriends" is very vague and it's kind of playing with Atom's (very real) feelings.

Mudmee all the way

Bumping up the rating just because my girl took a leap of faith and I nearly died while watching her scene with Half. Well done

Fun!

I'm not gonna lie, this was the first episode I fully enjoyed. I love seeing Atom and Kongthap's relationship progress, and Mudmee and Half are so cute as well. Half being so oblivious is so funny lol like I feel for Mudmee

Idk...

So. I fucking loved ep 2 of the Japanese version. This one? Not so much. I think, what made the Japanese one so good was that Aoki volunteered even though he didn't want to, to save Hashimoto, and she was SO grateful and you could see it in her face. Aoki pushed through it and did the stage as best as he could and at the end Ida caught him and it was the first time Aoki felt something for him. Here? It's not awkward, Atom somehow knows all the dialogue, doesn't stumble once, and the stage is so professional it doesn't look like a highschool play at all. I also feel like they're moving so fast even though the episodes are so long? Idk. I don't mind them skipping the 'dressing like a girl' bit, and I genuinely liked the traditional Thai costumes. But.. at the end of the day, this is a highschool play.

Cutee

The first two episodes of the original MLMU were my absolute favorites so the bar was quite literally sky-high. Even though I still prefer those, this ep was absolutely adorable. Fourth's acting is still supreme -- Gemini's doesn't really shine, because Ida/Kongthap doesn't emote that much. But I love the story and the confusion as much as I did in the OG. And the scene with the veggies was adorable as well.
