Well, I see why this is a classic

This drama is almost 15 years ago, I enjoyed is SO SO MUCH! I only watched the 2018 chinese version of this and I have to say, I can totally understand why many rank this version the first. Even though this is so old, it doesn't actually feel old? Expect for the styling and technology, it doesn't feel out of place like older dramas often do. The leads were amazing, I mean they are way better actors than the chinese ones (I have to add that they were rookies tho).
And I have to say, this story has some pretty questionable storylines, but for some reason if you can overlook that, you can feel that the love between the leads and the friendships feel so sincere and heartwarming. This is definitely a classic. Also I loved that it only has nine episodes.

I gotta say, I enjoyed it very much! Especially Kang Min Hos character development (Jung Kyung Ho for LIFE). I have got to give credits for Kim Sung Jong though. She literally went through hell: her fiance died, she was lowkey bullied by her boss, then her childhood and best friend outted himself as a complete asshole, then she was loved by her boss, then she found out that all of that affection she has felt for him might have been because he has the heart of her fiance in his body, then she decides to love him nonetheless after he nearly died. Then she found out that the company she worked for her whole life might go bankrupt, then she found out that her friggin ex-bestfriend killed her fiance aka his best friend. And then her boyfriend nearly dies again. Bruv, respect. She has been an amazing female lead. An intelligent, sensitive, responsible women. I love her.
Tbh, I did not expect Joon Hee to be this much of an asshole. I mean he isn't even just an ass, he definitely has some psycho in him. When he said that it was BECAUSE he was best friend that he killed him, I was just so speechless. DuDE, he wanted to protect you from getting even more evil you dumbass. Greed indeed took over this guy and I am glad that he got his punishment. Though I wished Golden Partner to go down as well, so I guess Joon Hee words do have some truth in it. But even powerful people will someday get what they deserve.
Wendy and Tinkerbell, weird comparison, but their relationship was so legit and fun, ugh I just loved them separately so much, but together it is even better. The duo of Woo Shik and Minho is so iconic, make it into a trio with Wendy UNFORGETTABLE.

I don't know why but I enjoyed this drama so much. This is even my second time watching it. I guess I do get why some people might not like it as much, and I agree that the show has parts were it is lacking. But I cannot overlook all the things they did right!! I liked their relationship, I loved how she embraced him and that there wasn't that typical miscommunication, "i am so disappointed that you lied to me and deceived me"-drama. Fun Hwan Gi's character is definitely the highlight and the best thing about this show. The character itself is so relatable for introverts and so unique in this kdrama world, it's wonderful to see someone like him come to life on screen. Though I have to say, it wasn't just pure shyness in the beginning, it was literally a phobia, social anxiety, something that is way more serious than introverted-ness. Anyway, the actor did such an amazing job at portraying him, I seriously in my head there is a Eun Hwan Gi out there in the world. It was that good and natural. I cannot stop appreciating the fact that EHG, did not change much and that he stayed true to himself and his character traits, they didn't change him and i LOVED THAT! He is still shy, still does not like talking in front of many people, is still super considerate and still overthinks in his head. This show doesn't tell you to change. It tells you to find a way in order to live more comfortably. To live proudly as who you are. I also loved how he understands and appreciates that every person is different and how everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. He understands that and helps his employees be more confident and thus work more efficiently. He might just be one of my favourite drama protagonists ever!

Definitely watch it if you are hesitating!
This was so much better than anticipated. I was hesitating, because of the AI-theme again, and also there weren't many familiar faces. But damn, I loved every single bit. Especially the first half of the episodes, I binged them in one go and yes I was very very VERY invested in all of the characters. Though it's not like the story is legendary, or something like a masterpiece, it was executed in a way that's so pleasing and satisfying for the viewers. You can say it was a very pleasant ride. Even though I wished for more coupley moments between the leads, the ending was still very good and wrapped up nicely unlike many other dramas.
Kudos to the leads though! I didn't know them, and it seems like they are pretty new or unknown (turned out they weren't I just didn't know them), but they certainly delivered!! I fell for them harder every episode. Loved Seyeon, she was incredibly relatable and not annoying at all. Nando was a fun character to see, I loved the way he slowly fell for Seyeon and his jealousy haha. And Holo! We LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU!!
All in all, I can definitely say that I will someday crave this drama again, and might even rewatch!

They grabbed the essence of love, family and they also grabbed my heart

A drama that has to be watched. A drama that cures your depression. Makes you emotional, makes you cry, makes you laugh, makes you appreciate. I haven't been this moved by a drama for a WHILE. And I watch a lot, like a lot. This is everything I have ever asked for.

This was a happy accident. I am so glad I decided to give it another shot! I remember watching the first ep but dropping it after 30 mins. But holy shit.
I swear, it's so good, way better than many popular dramas, with those popular actors and that high budget and CG. Kdramas tend to go too extreme with drama and tragedies and it's not like those shows are bad, it's just that I can't seem to cry or feel empathy. But I cried rivers watching this, especially those last episodes. Those moments were heart-wrenching but heart-warming the same time. It tears you apart in a good way. Ma Jin Joo's scenes with her mother just killed me, and when that damned bucket list reveal came. I couldn't even blink and I was already sobbing. This show has managed to keep everything in order, it didn't annoy, it didn't drag, it did everything RIGHT! I loved how they slowly revealed Jin Joos and Ban Dos love story and their struggles, the burdens they have to bear, the obstacles they had to overcome. One of the unexpected highlights were definitely Jin Joo's mom and her story. It was oddly relatable and so heart-warming and sweet. I have to give it to the main actors though, they were excellent and perfectly choosen.
And holy shit? The ending was done so nicely and neatly, writers! Please learn from this! The side-characters were all so lovely as well, I loved that they all had their closures.
What makes this show different from others, is that they make you emotional, but the real emotional. Even though the scene itself may seem like many others you've watched, it just feels realer, sadder, it grabs your heart. I dont know why or how, but it certainly moved me. A LOT. I haven't felt like this for a long time. A bit alive maybe? It wasn't just about marriage and divorce, it was about life and love, about mistakes and circumstances one cannot control, it was about youth and growth, it was about humans.
Thank you for creating such a wonderful experience. Teaching us many life lessons and for making us realise how precious time, our family and loved ones are.

This has been a beautiful journey, which I am so glad for. Honestly I remember starting this about a year ago, but dropped it at episode 5. Then I recently saw that there's a second season coming out soon, with some of my favourite actors, so I decided to continue watching and BOY AM I GLAD I DID. Even though I was not convinced in the beginning, thus I didn't continue watching, I must say the story gets better and better. The first few eps are a bit frustrating because everyone is struggling and Master Kim seems very cold hearted, but after a while you can literally see them grow.
I love the message, the story, the struggles these characters had to face. But the best thing is that they learn and make mistakes and grow. Master Kim is an amazing teacher that lowkey seems like an asshole, but he has the warmest heart out of all. He cares but he knows his boundaries, he doesn't push his students, she leads them, he makes sure that they know it's their OWN path and their OWN choice, whatever they may choose, he can't do anything about it. Master Kim is actually a pretty common figure you often see in animes, someone with strong ideals and philosophies. But he was portrayed so well in this story. And just like the title says, he was his romantic view on life, and that's what's important. What's amazing is that he still learns from himself and his past mistakes.
I am in love with all the characters this show has shown us. The sweet romance between Dr. Yoon and Kang Dong Ju, the struggles of Do In Beom as the son of President Do.
I don't know much about the medical field, so I can't say how accurate the medical terms and procedures were, but I can say that they have beautiful ideals as doctors. The dilemma of being a doctor is something I can image very well. And they showcased that beautifully with Kang Dong Ju's growth.
All in all, I am in love. And holy shit, kudos to the actors they were all beyond amazing! Seo Hyun Jin, as always an amazing and underrated actress that never disappoints. Han Seok Kyu, even though it's the first show I saw him in as the lead I must say, what did I expect from a senior actor_ Nothing less! Yoo Yeon Seok was also very good and was the perfect choice for Kang Dong Ju, and boi his shoulders. Thanks to this drama I fell in love with Yang Se Jong, y'all should definitely check out his Thirty but Seventeen drama, it's amazing and he is super soft and cute there!
To be completely honest I am excited and scared for the second season. I want to watch more of Master kim, but I fear that it won't live up to the first season. Anyway we will see!
If you are still hesitating, than I will tell you right now, to go and watch it!

Classics never get old.

It's weird. This story is unrealistic, sometimes quite stupid and cliché, but somehow you just can't forget it. And you love it. Makino and Tsukasa, they are a legendary couple I'd say. For some reason, their story makes them seem grand and meant to be. Maybe it's because they went through so much together. Their friends and the support of everyone was really nice to see. I mean, it's a classic, you just have to watch it.
Shigeru was probably my favourite. Or at least she made me cry SO MUCH in this whole story. Her personality and selflessness made me so emotional even in this last episode when she appeared.
I wish we could have seen Nishinoya and Yuki together, but I guess we got that in Meteor Garden 2018. And yes, I definitely agree. This version is better. Especially in the acting department, I guess this drama is my first proper Jdrama. I wanted to give it a try even though this is 15/13 years old and I didn't really wanted to watch the korean version. But I am pretty surprise at the quality, even the cinematography? This is over a decade old and has better camera directing than some newer dramas, like what.
ANYway. Personal highlights of both seasons:
Tsukasas hair (especially in s1). Gorgeous. And obviously him.
Tsukasa in a beanie.
Makinos tears.
Tsukasa and Makinos kiss in the sunset.
Tsukasa and Makino brothers plot.
"Did you know that when you cut a fig in half it looks like a heart? That's why they say that the flavour of love is sweet and sour. But to me... the flavour of love only tastes like that lousy cookie you made." my eyes got wet real quick.
Tsukasa and Makinos relationship in general.
Rui.
Just. Shigeru.
NISHIDA.
That badass housemaid.
That OST.
Tsukasa and Makino <3

Why is this so underrated

Why haven't I watched this sooner? This has been a beautiful and rewarding journey, it was a lot better than I expected it to be. It was so good I didn't want it to end!
I loved everything. The small details of storytelling, the conclusion of their tragedy, their mindsets, their growth and acceptance. I am in love.
The couple was one of the most precious ones I have every seen, I mean look at Gong Woo Jin, isn't he the best boyfriend you could ever ask for? Understanding and respectful. I loved their relationship in every sense.
Honestly, I love comedy and light hearted dramas, they feel so good and make me so happy! Even though it was lighthearted and had the some typical elements of korean dramas, they didn't feel as cheesy und overused like usual. They felt real and sincere, like how Seo Ri knew him already and that it wasn't his fault anyways. That could've easily been a weak storyline, since it puts all the drama it has created to dust. But rather than that, I felt relieved and it made sense. And honestly, the acting was so on point, I don't even know? I came back here (I already bookmark this like a year ago) because I was interested in Yang Se Jong's works after Romantic Teacher, Master Kim and I have always loved Shin Hye Sun (she is so amazing and underrated) and obviously Ahn Hyo Seop. I cried so many times because of their tears, how can Yang Se Jong look so precious even when he cries?
Thanks to everyone that worked on this wonderful story!

I enjoyed it, but that's purely subjective

It may not be the best drama or whatever but I think they deserve the credit for wrapping it up nicely. The story connected from the beginning till the end, even I was surprised at how well thought through it was. Even though it dragged on a bit, it's still a cute little drama that has a lot of precious moments and good lines that resonated with me. Maybe it's because I rarely watch Taiwanese dramas, but I feel like compared to korean ones they have a bit more dimension in terms of the variety of emotions.I could understand when An Xi couldn't completely commit herself in a relationship because of a certain someone that she felt guilty towards. I could understand Yo Qian when he was angry at her for hurting him. If I think back there wasn't much revenge involved anyways. Whats more it felt like the things i wanted to see, played out in front of me. Like when An Xi was stuck and shy, but her friends pushed her forward. Another thing I liked was how the conflicts between the characters weren't exaggerated, for example the misunderstanding between An Xi and Yo Qian, normally it would've taken a few episodes for them to forgive each other but they reunited in the same episode. Also let's appreciate the Lunar Maria gang, they were so precious, sweet and funny. Their dialogs were often witty and full of sense. Honestly I feel like the script was written better than korean ones, or maybe it's just because I am used to them. Anyways, it was a fresh breath of air!
I came here after watching Jasper's Before we get Married and tbh i was super annoyed at how the story unfolded and I have to say though the cinematography, production and maturity (also "when i see you again" is not tHAT realistic) is a lot better in that one, i personally would still prefer something like this.

Masterpiece in every way

I loved loved loved loved loved it. So much. And it makes me so unbelievably happy that there is going to be a 2nd season, and that next year! What a blessing.
Even though they left a few things undone, it was still very satisfying and at the same time it keeps us excited for the next season. Honestly I was scared that they'd be changing the cast and story like they did with the reply series, or even Dr. romantic, but I guess I don't really have to worry about that!
I cried tons this episode. The first half was extremely heart-breaking and I still admire the way they convey their feelings, every single person who worked on this has contributed to this and I am very grateful!
1. I loved their friendship, it is just pure, fun, and so comfortable to watch.
2. I loved them as humans. Every single one of them. They all had their own personality, but two things that they shared was their friendship for each other and them being good to the damn core. I mean good as in morally and emotionally. They seriously inspired me to be a better person and also work harder.
3. I have mentioned this before, but I loved the fact that there were NOT the typical kdrama struggles and obstacles. No annoying chaebol (I mean there is Seokhyungs father but he appeared like once and he did not matter that much, it was more about how Seokhyung and his mother will deal with him). Actually... isn't this production team known for being fresh and non-cliché? Anyway, fact is. I love it.
4. I love the way they tell the story. I guess it's a pretty unconventional way of unfolding a story (ties with the point above), but it's just so unique and it works very very well. To me it seems more human and more like life? Things don't always get confronted at first, often a lot of time will pass and often it is not even that dramatic. There were no slow motions or like moments that they would show longer than necessary (maybe those moments were even in real-life time?).
5. I loved the heart breaks and heart throbs they gave us. It hurt when something bad happened, when a patient was doing badly, but it made me so much more happy when they recover. They did not drag a heart break for long. We move on in life.
6. I loved the relationships between the doctors and patients they showed. We saw that they cared deeply for their patients and always ALWAYS did their best in order to help them recover. They basically lived to save people. I was quiet moved by this and my respect for doctors grew again. Sometimes it even made me want to be one...
7. I loved that even though they gave their life for other people, they enjoyed it. It was the thing that they loved the most. And still, they'd try to find time to do other things they enjoy. To look after themselves. Seonghwas love for camping and food. Jeongwons love for God and his mother. Junwans love for golfing and Iksun. Seonghyungs love for his time alone. Ikjuns love for his son and being a social butterfly.
I am running out of ideas. There are definitely more, but I did not actually planned this comment out so idk.
Well, I will patiently wait for the next season which is going to be the bomb too. Ah and also... I am going to wait for this to finally appear on Netflix so I can rewatch it :)

PS.: I recommended this to my mom and she rewatched it for like 4 times already. That I call success.
