Dr. Lee Nak Joon, who penned the original work, mentioned the possibility of Seasons 2 and 3 on his YouTube channel Doctor Friends.
Talking about his web novel being adapted into a Netflix drama, he said, "Netflix, of all things. At first, I thought it was a delusion. It was nothing back when I first said in 2019 that it would be great if my novel gets adapted into a webtoon and a drama. But then the rights were sold. The filming hadn't started for a while. And suddenly, in 2023, production began."
Lee Nak Joon also said, "If the drama does well, Season 2 will likely happen... If many people are curious about what happens next, they'll probably check out my webtoon or web novel." He further emphasized, "This drama was made with Seasons 2 and 3 in mind."
There is no official statement from Netflix regarding Season 2 of The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call.
