
Kim Ji Hoon and Seo Ji Hye are in talks to join Lee Jung Jae and Im Ji Yeon in a new rom-com K-drama
Kim Ji Hoon and Seo Ji Hye are reportedly joining the cast of the upcoming tvN K-drama Mean Love.
On February 19, industry insiders reported that Kim Ji Hoon and Seo Ji Hye will be added to the cast of the upcoming series Mean Love. According to reports, the two will join hands with Lee Jung Jae and Im Ji Yeon who will reportedly be the main lead of the K-drama.
Mean Love will tell the romance between an actor who usually portrays detective roles but is eager to star in a romance genre, and a former reporter for politics and now working as an entertainment journalist.
Kim Ji Hoon got the offer to play the character named Joo Jae Hyung. He came from a conglomerate family and currently works as a sports journalist.
Seo Ji Hye on the other hand got the offer to portray the role of the top leader of journalists.
The upcoming K-drama will be the joint work of director Kim Ga Ram (Good Partner, Nevertheless, and Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency) and writer Jung Yeo Rang (Doctor Cha). The K-drama will be the next series to be produced by Studio & New.
Mean Love will reportedly premiere on tvN this year. It will have a total of 16 episodes.
This will possibly be Kim Ji Hoon's third upcoming K-drama. He will also join the cast of the upcoming series Haunted Palace and Genie, Make a Wish. The actor was last seen in the 2024 K-drama Death's Game Part 2.
Meanwhile, this will possibly be Seo Ji Hye's second upcoming K-drama for the year. The actress will make a grand comeback to the small screen through the series Reverse. She will work alongside Go Soo, Kim Jae Kyung, Yoon Je Moon, Goo Sung Hwan, and Im Won Hee. Last year, she made a cameo appearance in the hit tvN K-drama Love Next Door.
Seo Ji Hye last starred in the 2022 series Red Balloon.
