Teetiger's Top 5 Villains of KDrama
The villains in KDramas are as evil as the devil incarnate. They mostly leave me with the feeling of a ripped-out-and-stepped-on heart! I have never come across such people in reality. They all seem to have very good ties with gangsters and can arrange for people to be kidnapped, murdered or beaten up without a problem. I suppose that’s why it is a drama and I should stop confusing it with real life.  Hmph, anyway, I thought I would highlight a few wicked antagonists, who’ve made my gut wrench and I have come across in dramas.

[Caution: SPOILERS ahead!]

5) Wi Dae Han & Jung Sukhttp://media.mydramalist.com/cache/2o8/315970406799946904_179b0f17_f.jpg

The dads from Mary Stayed Out All Night played by Park Sang Myun & Park Joon Gyu respectively

Anyone selling their daughter to pay off debts is an immoral person! - Even if the boy is as dreamy as Kim Jae Wook. Wait, hmmm...NO! It is still evil! He was up to his neck in debt, so when his old best mate offers to pay off his debt, under one condition, he takes up the offer within a blink of an eye. What is the catch you ask? To give his daughter (Wi Mae Ri) away to marry his friends’ son. Free, will you ask? God no! She is a property that can be used to get rid  of debts!

I hated him for having to push her into a situation like that, and Jung Suk was just pervy, sick and kidnaps Kang Mu Gyul so that he doesn’t get in the way. He thought he was doing his old crush a favour by getting Mae Ri married to his son, but clearly his son’s wishes and Mae Ri’s don’t really matter. Jerk dads!

4) Kang Hee Soo

Jun Pyo’s mum in Boys Over Flowers played by Lee Hye Young

She is pretty much non-problematic until episode 10, where she catches Jun Pyo carrying Jan Di on his back for a Valentine’s Day event. From then onward, evil ensues. Partly also instigated by Jan Di’s mum pouring salt on her head. Why evil you ask? She destroys the livelihoods of people just to stop Geum Jan Di dating her son. Because you know, who cares about other people? Let’s see, she ruins Jan Di’s fathers business‒ therefore they resort to street vending. She also sends in the loan sharks to get hold of the dad, and she bulldozes the building Jan Di moves into.

When things don’t go her way she gets Jun Pyo kidnapped and gets the shit beaten out of him!! After most of her plans fail, to keep the lovers separated, she commences to ruin Ga-Eul’s family and Ji Hoon’s granddad’s foundation. Worst of all, she tells her kids that their father is dead to save the company.  Clearly, she is getting back at her kids for bearing them in her womb for 9 months!  Honestly, woman.

3) Han Jae Hee & Ahn Min Young

Innocent man; played by Park Si Yeon & Kim Tae Hun

PS: I just think that’s a cool picture

To be honest, Han Jae Hee is quite attractive for an antagonist. A proper black widow to trap men into working her will. Her malevolence lies in simply framing innocent people. Purely because she can entice men with her good looks ‒ Maru, PD Ahn, and President Seo. She is selfish and tramples on people to keep herself safe and high up. I have no objection to her being pretty or wanting to be at the top. It is the vicious acts she does, using that beauty, that makes her repulsive. She traps a former loyal PD to follow her around to make sure she never gets hurt. All it took her was her good looks and a kiss. Hmph, what am I doing wrong in my career? Anyway, she doesn’t mind letting someone else take the blame for a murder she committed and also becomes an accomplice in the death of her husband. Though Jae Hee does not want to ruin Maru’s life, she created a monster in Ahn. I’m not sure if I should place them higher up in the scales but for now they take position three.

2) Seo In Suk and Manager Han

Our runner up is a combo of Jun Pyo's mum and Han Jae Hee/Ahn. This duo is far worse in my opinion because after they were parters in crime for the death of the mother-in-law, they have no objections letting more people die. I wanted to throw something at the screen every time I saw her because of her attitude. Oh yes, she gets back at her husband's affair with the Manager so she can have a son/heir (Ma Jun), but wouldn't accept her husband's illegitimate son (Tak Gu). She also uses her loyal lover/ Manager Han to 'take-care' of the illegitimate child and mother. When that's not successful she authorizes to get rid of the 12 year old Kim Tak-Gu by any means necessary. Her entire ambition, apart from making Ma Jun the heir, is to ruin Tak Gu's life and everyone associated with him. Ma Jun's quite bad himself, but not bad enough to murder people. In Suk doesn't  give a damn about her daughters either, but they don't get much screen time so I can't really complain. Mr Han is just a spineless embezzler who stabs his friend in the back!

1) Lee Jin Pyo

He is one crazy revenge seeking and established drug boss, and he rides an elephant in the first episode. I mean how much more badass can you get? So blinded by revenge, he steals his friend’s new born baby (Yoon Sung) and trains the kid to do his dirty work. He lies to Yoon Sung about his mother being dead, along with other lies to get him to follow his ridiculous orders. In real life this is what terrorists do, but it is totally acceptable in drama-land.  Yoon Sung isour lovely Lee Min Ho after all, why would you argue otherwise?
Jin Pyo takes number 1 on this list as he executes his revenge till the end, even going against Yoon’s wishes, and ends up shooting Yoon Sung accidently in the process. The only way to ward off an evil so bad is kill him, what Nana eventually does. Despite all the evil he put his adopted son through he does take the blame of being the City Hunter in the end to save him.

I’m sure I have forgotten quite a lot of malevolent beings from dramas. I recall the antagonists from Shining Inheritance and Secret Garden being pretty horrible, but it is been years since I watched those dramas. Also,I haven’t watched a lot dramas, so you’ll have to excuse me for not pointing out everything.

I’m not including Harry Borrison from Missing You because I like him XD. He was evil in every way, but I liked Zoe and him as a couple. Plus, as a paedo-pervy-noona I’ll take Yoo Seung Ho’s side in anything :p
