Why is this so underrated?!
I know, I know... We all are tired of the high school setting and all the tropes that come along with it. That's why I gave the story a 8.5 rating. It's not the most creative but when it's high school or university settings, GMMTV knows how to deliver. What this show lacks in complexity in the storyline it makes up with its well written dialogues. This show has super sweet moments and even though there's slight room for improvement in the acting, the main characters have chemistry. Sea aka Kang is a bit stiff in some scenes and it doesn't seem quite natural but I do believe it suits his more reserved character most of the time. This show doesn't have any heavy plotlines and it's definitely cliche but it's comforting, funny and sweet. The communication between the two main characters is also something we don't see quite often on screen, I really liked it. Definitely a recommended show, one of my favorite this year so far. If they don't mess it up with the last two episodes, I will update this review if my opinion changesEsta resenha foi útil para você?
Cuties ?
I personally didn’t really get attracted to this drama by the trailer. I was more excited for other bls but I decided to give it a watch. It was the best decision I have made. Nowadays these two get me giggling and kicking my feet every Sunday. The chemistry between the two is insane and the relationship is just so wholesome and beautiful that I sometimes wish I had what they are having… The progression is not too slow but not too fast. The plot is not cliché and overly used too. The whole cast is also too cute and Kang has my heart rn 💓, and waiting for more fluffy episodes in the future…Esta resenha foi útil para você?

So Stinkin Cute!
This was so stinkin cute! Moo was just a ball of energy and sunshine. He was so hilarious when he was in pursuit of Kang. And wow, could he ACT! So talented at 19. He made me cry several times.I loved loved loved this series! Moo and Kang had some of the best chemistry I’ve ever seen. This was so cute, so entertaining, so emotional, and very satisfying. I loved the storyline about becoming idols. I really loved all the music. I don’t know if Keen actually sang in the series but whoever it was has a great voice.
I really don’t know how anyone could not love this. The actors were all great. Was Book not gorgeous? Such a good role for him to do something different. (And, Force!) Plus, I was pleasantly surprised to see Louis in something to be able to show off his musical side. He’s very talented.
Give it a chance if you want something cute and heartfelt. It’s one I will rewatch.

Need More BL’s Like This
I placed spoilers at the end of this review. This was a very cute series, most of the time. Overall, the script was very good even though it has my least favorite story component in it. My only criticism is the direction of the series took a sharp turn with having overly cute vibes (in the good way) to a more serious vibe. However, the serious tones were handled with care and were not overly dramatic. The entire cast did a great job with making you care about their characters. Kudos to the new actors which held their own with the more seasoned ones. I really enjoyed the songs/music. They did a really great job incorporating this into the series which is a good thing considering the music industry was the overall setting.
Random Notes:
I give them praise for trying to be original with the old “accidental kiss” story gimmick.
I actually liked the animations and sound effects which I usually don’t go for. Both somehow worked and added to the very cute vibe in the beginning.
As always, I love seeing familiar locations from different series.
******Spoiler Alert******
I’m not a fan of time jumps because it’s usually not used successfully and/or add anything to the storyline. However, it actually served a purpose and was done well here. The first one let us skip the unneeded watch of them going through the Idol process. I must admit I wonder what happened to the A-Hole that cased the conflict at the end of episode 10.
As for the slightly drastic vibe shift, I apricate that they didn’t wait to do this in episode 11. This made the ending, which was perfect, not feel rushed.

One of the best shows of 2024
I’m gonna be honest I watched this when it came out and it was one of the best journeys I had in a while. Also I feel this should be in the running for the best drama of 2024 because nothing is comparing to only boo! As of right now. Just a warning that there may be spoilers ahead.I really enjoyed Only Boo! It reminded me of school president so much and I feel that’s why everyone enjoyed it. Okay Moo is the absolute most adorable person on this whole planet because whenever he pouted at Kang and sulked he was so cute I was melting so much.
I really liked the plot which was Moo has to go to a new school where he needs to rely on himself and not off of his rich old life. While he was moving to a new condo he met Kang who is a boy the same age as him, but works at his mom’s restaurant and has a whole routine everyday, until Moo messed up his routine because he had to help him so Kangs kindness made Moo fall madly in love with him to the point that he would go to his food stand at school just to simp for him and ask for his love while Moo still didn’t have friends he meets Potae and Payos who do a little performance for him because they knew Moo’s mom works in the entertainment business and since they want to be idols they felt they could get in by using Moo, until moo says that he can’t really dance or try to be an idol because his mom said he skipped school to many times to audition so she had to disown him. But that never held Moo back since he also joined Potae and Payos to open a TikTok account and start to do dance challenges until there is an audition that they could go to so they went as a trio and Moo had to do three things keep good grades for Kang, ask his mom for permission, keep his relationship with Kang going well, and not fail the audition or else he would not be able to audition anymore. On the day of the audition Moo was almost late and almost missed the audition when the results came back only Payos got accepted so both Potae and Moo were depressed until Payos got them to also add them to the lineup until it was said in the contract that they can’t date anymore so Moo wanted to lie about it and continue to date Kang until they got exposed one day and they had to breakup and it was the most saddest thing on earth until Kang came back for Moo and they dated again on the last episode and everyone supported them.
Also Potae and Payos relationship was the cutest thing on earth and I loved them so much and even though they weren’t shown a lot they still ate up their chemistry. Also Payos is also one of the cutest things on earth. As you can see I really enjoyed this show and I definitely recommend this show!!

Amo i tipi così diretti.

SeaKeen one of GMMTV's gems
This series is like a test run for SeaKeen that gone haywire in all aspect, and yes in a very good way. I imagined that this is just gonna be a typical highschool BL, I mean the title is Only Boo! For pete's sake. But alas I was wrong, I was so wrong. The acting, the story, the chemistry and the side characters they compliment each other. Not to mention, the actual singing of Keen in the series is not cringe inducing and I was glad I didn't have to get a 2nd hand embarassment for him. A must watch, The My School President level of 2024, and I must say just a couple of notch better ❤️❤️❤️Esta resenha foi útil para você?

One of the BEST series ever <3
For those of you who love light hearted shows then this show is THE ONE...Only boo touches on topics that involve the behind the scenes of idol culture as well as the entertainment industry. They mask the sad topics with Keen's amazing acting as Moo distracting everyone with the comedy aspect. It is also to note that this is one of Sea Talay and Keen's first acting roles and they killed it beyond my expectations. Like I said before, Only Boo has comedic aspects to it that are very obvious in the trailers and pre-eps. What they don't tell you is how emotionally involving this show actually is. Their light hearted and comedic acting makes anyone who watches it fall in love. Watching this show makes you so emotionally involved that whenever they confess their love to each other...it actually makes you cry.
The story line progression is amazing and I am a person who will drop a show if the storyline doesn't go in a straight line. The episodes actually take you step by step into the character's personas and daily lives that it makes it easy to follow. I absolutely appreciate the way that this story starts and ends. It makes you feel as if you've known them since day one.
The characters in the show are also amazing. Starting with Kang and Moo played by Sea Talay and Keen Suvijak. They are honestly the best pair ever. They love and respect each other mutually making them the sweetest pair to date. I love they way their dynamic is presented to us, the ultimate golden retriever and black cat energy. Their ups and downs being navigated together as characters showing us that it is easy to love each other regardless of gender. We'll move onto Potae and Payos played by Aun and Ashi. They are the problem couple. Their dynamic was within the misunderstanding troupe. I usually don't like that as it absolutely boils my blood by how easy they can solve the situation. However, with Aun and Ashi's acting? It made me so emotional that I had no time to get mad. Last are the side characters Jang, Shone, and Neth played by Louis, Book, and Milk. Honestly, they played their roles so well I actually grew to resent Shone, fall for Jang, and smile whenever Neth showed up. The perfect side characters. They really made the show more enjoyable than it already was.
The ost and cinematography was perfect. The ost was so light hearted and enjoyable that I didn't skip over the intro. I watched this show a few months ago and I'm still listening to the songs daily. The cinematography really knows how to set the mood, changing the light and atmosphere every time something different happens.
Overall, this is one of the contenders of perfect 10/10 series in my list. I loved this so much, the concept, the music, the fx, the cast, the acting, e.t.c. I love this cast and so should you in my opinion. I hope to see Sea Talay and Keen in another gmmtv series next year!

You would be pleasantly surprised by the level of intimacy in this BL
I highly enjoyed this series. Such an all around feel good, teeth achingly sweet and romantic BL!Moo is hands down one of my favorite BL characters ever. He's so adorable, annoying in a lovable way, cheeky, funny, cute, a sly fox, and has so many more traits. I just loved his character so much. He definitely brought the best and biggest energy to this show. I really like how well Moo was written. His straighforward, slightly (more like very) awkward/unskilled but sincere method of flirting with Kang was so fun to watch. I liked that his woo-ing attempts did not come across as creepy or too much, I was always happy watching his antics and seeing how Kang would react to him.
Speaking of Kang, one of the greenest flags ever. His character is a lot more toned down in terms of energy and personality but he was also a great character to watch. He's the mature and reasonable one in the relationship, he's more stoic in the beginning and is your classic tsundere who speaks in harsh ways but turns around and smiles to himself when no one's looking. As his relationship with Moo started growing, I loved seeing him open up more and flirt back with Moo and watching him be more expressive. The dynamic between Moo and Kang was refreshing. I loved that Moo, being the younger one, was the chaser constantly approaching Kang and trying to woo him,; while Kang, the older one, was shy and flustered by Moo's directness. Ugh, so fun!
The plot was very well executed, pacing was really well done (i loved the use of time skips), and the writing was great too. Acting overall was great too, most of the cast seem to be new to the industry but they all did amazing jobs. There's a fair bit of angst and emotionally heavy scenes towards the end that were so well acted, so kudos to the cast for that.
I also really loved the 2nd male lead pairing!! Classic best friends to lovers trope which was also well done.
Although the NC scenes in this series is on the mild scale, you get a lot of intimacy from both couples so i was extremely satisfied with the pairings and their romance. There's awkward kisses, but it came across as sweet to me because it felt like it was part of the plot given the lack of experience the characters had before each other.
Anyway overall, a really good series. You get a funny, feel good, perfectly paced plotline with no time wasted on unecessary scenes, two adorable, intimate and uber romantic couples with abundant chemistry, and a GREAT OST packaged in a 12 episode series. Definitely recommend!
