Anti-redefinição (2024)

Usually i'm not too fond of robot, alien or zombie story. But this part of VBL series & since I've already seen the other, i just thought to myself, 'Well... Let's complete the series then... ' so here i am finished watching this...

Story about Chu Yi Ping (YP) & a robot, or they said AI, name Ever 9. YP is a professor in a university, he is very Introvert person. One day, he dislocated his hand in an accident at school, his uncle gives him Ever 9 as a caretaker, an experimental intelligent robot that his company is secretly testing.

Amaze by how close Ever 9 to human being, the reluctant YP welcome Ever 9 to his house & his life. With the warm & attentive Ever 9, YP finally begin open his heart for Ever 9.

When the story go on, we see not only YP that open his heart, but Ever 9 also think YP more than his master. YP & Ever 9 become more and more important for each other. One day Ever 9 suddenly broken. What will happen to YP...? Can Ever 9 be fixed?

That's overall the story.

Even though a little bit scary (imagine one day AI can be that close to human) but I'm also glad to imagine that they (AI) can have human heart & warmth.

I don’t too like how YP that's easy to open his heart for Ever 9. Don't understand what's so special about him. Or i take what YP's uncle more or less said: 'Is it because Ever 9 not human...?'

Overall this quite interesting story to watch...

Good Concept, Poor execution

I am not being fair for dropping this before watching the entire series so my review may not hold water.
my POV: if there is no distinction between human and AI, what made the protagonist accept this AI when he is a recluse and introvert? The set setting is not matching the concept. AI is supposed to be aiding emotionally but so far, what I have seen was the AI being a physical help. The AI doesn't seem to be set with boundaries and has overflowing emotions - more than the human. The concept hooked me but lost me when I didn't see the execution matching the idea. I might have a preconceived notion of an AI that is clouding my judgment, so I may not be being fair.

Reseña sencilla

Esta serie si te deja pensando/analizando muchas cosas, tipo te genera dudas pero al mismo tiempo quieres que a ellos les vaya bien a sabiendas de que Ever-9 no es un humano x completo (que la vd siento que ahí hay algo escondido por lo que se nos dice) esta hermosa la serie, son muy bonitas las interacciones que tienen y el como se van desarrollando los sentimientos del uno x el otro, siento que maybe pudieron haber explicado un poquito mas acerca de esto de personas que son inteligencia artificial y asi pero la serie cumple bastante.
Ever 9 y Chu Yi Ping tienen un cameo en la serie "Stay by my side" pero para que sepan y es en el capitulo 4 además la pareja de Stand by your side salen en esta serie igual como un cameo en el capitulo 6. Por ultimo creo que cuando tienen la cita en el capitulo 7 el 1er lugar al que van según yo, ese lugar tmb sale en VIP only. Aunque estoy confundido sobre cual se desarrolla 1ro si Stand o Anti por sus cameos (que si los ven ps ojala y me entiendan) o simplemente como que ocurren casi al mismo tiempo.
Y nomas por eso para mi Stand by your side, VIP only, Anti-reset y You are mine ocurren casi todas al mismo tiempo y en la misma zona o algo asi:)

RPG Scene ~ Mage in the crumbling castle with a battle axe armed robot boyfriend ~

I actually kind of enjoyed it. I loved the A.I film and Bicentennial Man growing up so robot love stories don't bother me lol I would have given it a 6 generally, as it was a casual watch, a little cliche but cute. It was an ok watch, at first.

But the last episode got to me, because I got the old Momento Mori feeling. A friend of mine had an asthma attack at a halloween party and died. She was 23. I have not celebrated Halloween since. Human's are limited. You aren't guaranteed tomorrow, and if you knew you were dying, what would you do for your loved ones? Terminally ill people often prepare mementos for their family.

That's how I felt watching the final episodes. Although it gets rounded out at the end not to leave you too depressed, it's a story teller's way of facing human mortality through a fluffy, cute story of a robot falling in love.

And although the 7 year gap is cliched and kind of cruel in this plot, it also makes sense because the uncle admits to himself that he'd make the same decision. He wanted his nephew to be with a real person and ultimately was just forced to give in because Chu won't move on with his life, and Ever 9 gave the ultimatum to either let him keep his memories or destroy him so, after 7 years, with neither letting go, what was he do?

Overall I rate it a 7. I probably wont be rewatching it but still enjoyed it for what it was.

A love story between a human and an AI

I really enjoyed this drama from the very beginning because it’s a very different plot than what you normally see in a BL drama, but ever since episode 8-10 came I felt the story staring to go downhill and I didn’t really enjoy it anymore.I know having an relationship ship with an AI is really insane because it’s not normal, but when you forget the fact that Ever 9 is a AI it is a very good drama.
I mean once Ever 9 came Yi Ping’s life changed I really don’t think he likes humans because if seemed that he never really liked or had a crush on someone before Ever 9. Also I do think at times Yi Ping definitely forgot that Ever 9 is an AI because he even brought him to the place he works (school) and really only talked to him like he was his own student. They have the chemistry and everything, which was shown from episodes 1-7, but Once episode 8 aired I wasn’t feeling that same feeling that I felt when I saw the previous ones then ep 9 came and I didn’t really like it because it was literally a whole talk about how Yi Ping can’t have Ever 9 and date him because he’s AI and all I’m thinking is why did the uncle give Ever 9 in the first place and why did they add a love feature if they aren’t supposed to date and fall in love with each other. The last episode felt like a waste except once they did the seven year time skip because it was basically just showing episode 9’s storyline all over again, and once they did the time skip I finally felt the same feeling I felt when 1-7 was happening because they were back together with no problems. I do kind of recommend this drama, but also don’t at the same time.

AI's ai (Robot's Love)

I've been debating for quite sometime if I should watch the series given it's scifi-AI storyline so I've read reviews and waited for the released of all the episodes before watching it.

Music: This is what I loved most in this series especially the opening song. I'm someone who love singing and the first time I watch any series I will let the entire opening song play without skipping and listen on it. If I found it beautiful I won't skip it every time I watch the episodes of the series but if it's not that outstanding then the forward button will become my dear friend.

Acting/cast: The casts and their skill is giving. I can see the chemistry just not the compound one. Not that chemistry which will make you look forward for the next scenes and which will make you giddy. There eyes alone conveys emotional conversation which transcends beyond the screen and that's amazingly however...

Storyline: however, I was reminded that the other ML is a robot. I have nothing against an AI and a human relationship but it is something that is quite different or should I say unsound? At least in a long run. I know, that many people may argue and say that... "we are now able to accept a relationship between man and man and of any kind so why not a robot and a human?" It may sound silly but it is not appealing, at least to me. I could've accepted it if the robot was unsalvageable an he accepted the fact that the love between him and the robot is not something that lasts but nope that's not what happened...some people may hate this but it is really not romantic for me... Thus, I created my own finale... (I imagined my own finale)

Instead of fixing the robot for their romance to continue why not make the robot permanently damage. Then, reveal to the ML that the reason why the robot act like a human is because someone is operating them and the robot was modeled after that person. Thus, having a person that has the same appearance with the robot. Then, the ML will come in contact with that person... the person who looks like the will deny that he knew the ML but the ML will insist in knowing him. Then that person will start to show actions or answers that the ML only revealed to the robot. Then the truth will surface...that that person is someone who controlled the robot. He is the one who chooses on how the robot should react and respond resonating his emotion through the robot. That way, the issue of the ML being unable to socialize will be resolved and he won't have a robot as his partner but a human. This plot sounds better right?

Anyways, just so you know. I won't be watching the series again. I even played latter episodes in 2.0x speed just to know what happened and to finish watching it because I lost the interest in watching it when I had the hunch that they will pursue the AIxHuman tandem.
