Didn't deliver what's expected
this is my first review on this website .
first of all excuse my english ,
about the series i expected a better script with more engagement from the Ml all we got few words from him on each episode with no impact whatsoever on the story and this goes till episode 6 or 7 i believe that we start getting some interactions.
the background story of the main lead was totaly negligated and even when we had a glance of it all was expected and seen before . the other thing i didn't like is the approach the series took to showcase relations and dating in General it was so frustrating to watch with so much repetition.i did enjoy some of the ost the drama felt cozy the characters are likable if i have to blame something on this series it's definitely the script .
thank you

Relaxing drama
This drama goes as it is. From the beginning of this drama to the end of this drama, everything feels comfortable and nothing seems forced. The acting of the cast is also very good.I feel that this drama feels more alive because there are significant differences between the characters, especially the character Chang Hee who brings the drama to life.
This drama seems to teach us to continue living, whatever happens, the important thing is to live first. Even though we don't know where we are going, for sure we will all achieve our freedom.

As slice-of-life as it gets!
From all the kdramas I have watched My Liberation Notes is the first drama that for me was undoubtedly a 10/10 rating. The writing of this drama is so masterful that I am in awe. It’s so well-woven that the storylines connect to one another so smoothly and the drama flows just so gently. I loved every single character and every storyline, which is something that has never happened to me with another drama before. It was wonderful to see the characters developing and eventually finding themselves. The drama is slow, and nothing much happens, just like life, which is why I feel that this is the ultimate slice-of-life drama. We get to peek into the mundane lives of these three siblings living in Sanpo and traveling to Seoul every day, and the lives of people around them. It can get sad, happy or even cruel just like life. But this drama comforted me and made me feel better without being preachy or over-the-top. It reminds you that it’s okay to live life your own way as long as you are at peace with yourself. It portrays these realistic relationships that can’t fit into frames set up by the society. The characters go on this journey where they figure out what they want and whether or not they want to live by the conventions forced upon them. I loved how realistic the relationships in the drama were because in life nothing is black and white, and being in love doesn’t magically make everything go smoothly in life.
The conversations and dialogues in the drama were so witty and so relatable for me on a personal level. As someone who is depressed and has felt like I don’t fit in with the rest of the world, seeing such emotions put into words, I felt understood, I felt that maybe there are other people out there who feel the same way too.
Overall, My Liberation Notes is a feel-good, comforting slice-of-life drama that helps you slow down and catch your breath. There aren’t many mind blowing twists or complicated plot lines, but it manages to keep you captivated with it’s honesty, mundanity and refreshing wholesomeness.

Look for youe WHOLE SELF, not your half?
If My Liberation Notes deserve something, it's a standing ovation. With Kim Jiwon's 1st project since 2022 starring along Son Seokgu Lee Mingki and Lee El, My Liberation Notes is a perfect drama for you if you're perplexed about so many things in life that approaches you.The slow scenes, words of wisdom, juxtaposition of tranquil countryside and busy citylife, how the word "MY" in the title is completely about self liberation and finding out everything that is their issue, and most importantly the male and female leads being each other's catalysts into embracing liberation, and taking small trudging steps out of their miseries, this drama speaks a lot on introverted, distraught, and exhausted people like me myself who have a hard time dealing with their life :") you all deserve a warm hug and wise words!!
And if you're feeling to hit rock bottom, normalize to blame the female lead's ex for it :")
I hope you find your liberation, as you decide to stream My Liberation Notes!💜💜💜

This is one of those kdramas that make you feel empty once youre finished because you develop such a strong connection between the characters and feel as if youre the one living their life or atleast being a part of their life. It makes you think about your life in such a philosophical way...like was it ever that deep? Lol, it made me want to be zen about everything, like everything will be alright, why am I stressing so much when everything evetually passes? Why am I so stuck on this? Everything finds its own path and that person you're looking for will come to you one day, whether you're the type to wait or not, they will come- because fated things always happen. Your fate is not overlooked, your time will come and you will enjoy things again. Its just such a beautiful kdrama with a beautiful message..please if you ever feel low or in need of a slightly dark yet pure kdrama, then this is it really! Every episode will not make you bored.

Your insanely boring life is just as precious as mine.
Liberation: the action of setting someone free from imprisonment, slavery, or oppression; release. What type of liberation you want?
What's stopping you from being liberated?
Is it you, your family or the world?
What will you do with your long awaited liberation?
Like this dozens and thousands of question will arise while watching this series.
It's one of those series from film noir genre which question your life and existence. What I loved the most was how realistic each and every character was. Three siblings and Mr. Gu were showed phenomenal growth in their characters. Although it is a little slow out the gates, once this one gets going, it turns into an unstoppable juggernaut. Prepare yourself for a long ride to liberation. My favourite quote: “I think humans are only sane when they’re lonely. So I think I’m saner at night.” – Mi Jeong
My liberation notes is a warm hug to let go of your suppressed emotions and bring out the courage to be liberated. Liberating from societal expectations, emotional baggages and growing demands of materialistic world, my day to day mundane life felt comforting. As the topic itself felt heavy on my chest after finishing the drama I didn't want to watch something else. I allowed myself to be fully submerged into the juggernaut emotions of the characters. This overwhelming feeling lingered quite longer than usual.
I think whomever watched this drama had a silent cry in every episode. That's why you need to watch this at night while you're stressed, alone in a room. Then you'll realise that this series feels like a warm damp hug to yourself.

Be Happy With Yourself
The acting of this drama was great. The sadness, and misery the actors had on their face was overwhelming. I watch every week to see if they ever had any happiness. I could not understand how they made it day by day with such misery about their life and the stage of their life they were in. They constant complaint about there life. How they stay civil to each as siblings once they got home and be with their parents. I felt bad for their mom who was over work all the time. Between working at home doing house work or out in the field. Even working at the factory with her husband making cabinets and yet she still had to do house work afterward. I kept trying to find whet happiness they could have or satisfaction and yet at the end I still could not see if they ended really happy with life and satisfied or just realize thing could not get better. Very hard psychological drama to me. I ended up being happy and satisfied with my life and how little I have but I can smile every day.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Comforting and meditative
First off, I just want to say the cast is fantastic here. I believe there is no greater acting challenge than communicating with silence — the most moving beats are the ones of silence.Second, I want to applaud this drama for being a genuine slice of life. It’s not perfect, but it’s honest. It never strayed too far into melodrama, and it didn’t buy into this false hope like many other shows. The hope here in this show is genuine because it’s so ephemeral. It’s not noble, it’s prosaic and honest and desperate all at once.
And while this may just be my own cultural interpretation, I think this show gives a very honest and fair view of what common metropolitan depression feels like. In every character.
Lastly, the soundtrack is wonderful. Great show, and I recommend to those who enjoy seeing the truths of life through the eyes of others.

The meaning of meaningless life
Huge appreciation for the writer to be able to speak for every lonely person out there, providing a little meaning for the meaningless life. It may not be a lot but it's already enough for that little happiness and understanding to happen through its literal storytelling along with its heartfelt characters. Every dialogue and choice of word fits perfectly into our harsh reality, the acting is so deep down it calms every wandering soul like a true companionship. Even though it's densely packed in 16 hours of runtime, it's able to contain almost every modern societal problems out there that you could think of, and also tackling life progression at different kinds of stages. It may be tedious and tragic, but the sad and melancholic instinct within us will always ponder questions on why we exist, why am i here, while working hard to adapt into this familiar yet uncertain world. After completing this drama feels like covering in a warm blanket and having a great listener beside us, that little comfort is exactly everything we need.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Great slice of life drama. Absolutely loved it
First half of the show pissed me off so much because it was like replica of my life. Struggles and nothing going as planned, the reason of living was fading away. As for the 2nd half it encouraged me to get something done for my life and never give up. Just needs a little push and off I go. The story was very slow and Im glad it was slow because it was also detailed. Slice of life dramas cannot be fast, it will not make any sense if its fast. Our life story or life events doesnt happen fast at all. The script for this show is absolutely legendary.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
A wonderful journey
"My liberation Notes" is one of those pleasant surprises that you come across in life. This show is based on things in life that you can easily relate to. It is a journey, a long ride with ups and downs, that makes you feel that it was worth every minute of it.A 16-episode, well-written show that puts things into the perspective of introverted people; it makes you wander; it makes you feel their emotional journey.
What I really found fascinating about this show is that it didn't need that much dialogue. Instead, they deliver the context and the important pieces of the story in a raw but well-defined way through the characters' emotions.
I would definitely recommend you sit down, relax, watch, and enjoy this exquisite show while being carried out by their wonderful journey.
