this drama is that kind of drama i cant drop but i feel nothing watching it.
first of all, FL was annyoing, like SO annoying, she is immature and childish, like those who think something but do the opposite JUST BECAUSE. i think she likes to be insisted lol
mmmhm
the ending felt rushed?? so many plotholes about the also childish second couples
(btw, i watched 29 episodes but here it says it has 32 )
ML was cute but nothing else
Kiss escenes were great but the couple itself didnt gave me butterflies in any escene
music was ok and also acting
If you have no patience like me dont watch it but if you have Go ahead

What is the beauty of Oath of Love?

This is not a typical romance comedy drama. The portrayal of the Male Lead is different from the usual male character.
Xiao Zhan's portrayal as Gu Wei is like the novel came to life because its realistic, relatable, the actions and the expressions are what you can see or what a person might do. You can empathize with his emotions, you will feel his sadness, frustrations, happiness and love. It's not exaggerated but smooth flow or delivery of words, expressions and movements.
Yang Zi's portrayal as Lin Zhi Xiao is good, you can feel the pain when she learned about the sickness of his father.
The message of this drama is so touching and lovable. It can give the audiences insights and positive influence.
I wish they didn't cut scenes and there are more episodes because its not enough.
Wishing for more projects between Xiao Zhan and Yang Zi.

Oooohh it served. The visuals the romance the angst the comedy everything was absolutely perfect. The bts videos showed they really had a great time while filming. You know what i loved mosssttt about the drama? The relationship wasn’t cringe. I mean really. Most Chinese/korean dramas do this thing where the couple doesn’t even move their lips, blush violently or worse one of them freezes even when they're a few months into the relationship. Xiao zhan and yang zi did an amazing job showing what a normal relationship looks like. Little kisses cuddles bickering aaaahhh made me feel single in every way lol. It was very beautiful.

I watched because Xiao Zhan is beautiful

I did finish the show, but felt the storyline was slow, flat, and forced. It didn't give any of the actors an adequate platform to exhibit their skills. Xiao Zhan is beautiful, and the physical chemistry between him and Yang Zi felt so natural. The little vignettes with them at the end of episodes was sweet. There were some incredibly touching moments in the final episodes that had me bawling my eyes out.

The soundtrack features Xiao Zhan and Yang Zi singing. Xiao Zhan's voice is so perfect for ballads. I may not have a desire to rewatch this show, but I will listen to its music again and again.

Best chemistry!!

After more than 2 years of waiting,it finally aired!!
Finally done watching and I can say that there was no boring episode. I really love the CP between Dr gu and Lin zhixiao and I hope to see them in another drama.I loved the fact that Dr Gao and Jiang shiang weren't much of a obstacle to the main leads and the chemistry of the second lead couple was also cute.i honestly hope there would be more Chinese series that have good CP like this one or even better rather than seeing the leads always being awkward with themselves or no sense of chemistry.if you're having doubts on whether to watch this drama then I say you should go for it and you wouldn't regret

long waiting finally come true...

Really excited when this drama finally surface to our screen. A long time waiting we have for this drama, I've waited this since 2019. Is it redeem everything...? is this worth to wait...? Oh I want to say yes yes yes with all my heart, but unfortunately there're some disappointment too...

At first I also quite disappointed with the beginning of this drama. It's like, the drama that I've been waiting for this long only like this.... But however in the end I still give this very high score. Simply because the ending story is really beautiful. This drama has a very mediocare beginning to the middle, but from middle to the end is so meaningful. How they tell story when Lin Zhi Xiao (XX) & Gu Wei (GW) is about to married, the vow & speech at the wedding. Usually other drama just tell us when they meet the parent after that just jumping to wedding scene or just fast forward the process of the wedding, but here they tell the feeling of a father that about to let go his girl & other stuff about wedding itself. & also don't forget the story after the wedding that we don't need to wait for another special episode.

The minus:
- The chemistry between Yang Zi and Xiao Chan not over the top. They're beautiful people, but somehow they chemistry feel a little bit lack compared to other Yang Zi partner in drama.
- Yang Zi character here remind me of her character at Go Go Squid.
- The second couple story unfinished. Yeah I know they not the main couple, but the way they write the story of Gu Xiao & San San feel just like hanging in the gallows & they prefer to not wrote a complete story because they're not the main lead.
- The story sometimes doesn't quite makes sense. Like when GW suddenly can do the operation even though he actually has some psychological issues regarding it or when he got serious problem later on he just got back at his sense, both just because XX talk sense to him. Or maybe the issues itself from the first just be there for the purpose to make our couple have a smooth sail.... :p.
- XX sometimes a little bit too immature

The Plus:
+ No crazy love rival. Yes they have love rival, but the other party quite mature to know they boundaries.
+ The soundtrack is so beautiful & the lyrics is very very beautiful & meaningful.
+ They not too stretch the duration into hot complete mess...
+ The 'interview' in the end of almost every episode...

Overall just because the ending makes this drama one of the top in my list.

Love the Drama

Really very refreshing love drama ..no cheesy things.. story tells about importance of family , love and trust also how to not give up on your dreams when face challenges ..

Fom 3 years I haven't watched any love story drama because I get bored easily but this drama makes me stuck with it till the end ..

You will truly enjoy this drama if you watch this without judging actors or story before starting the show....

Note- just for your knowledge if you don't know actors before, like most of the celebrities you know , they also have haters , so any vulgar commets about actors , don't take it seriously .. in world not every human being have good heart ❤️.

Entertaining

I was a little nervous that this drama won't live up to the anticipation by its fan when it first aired. But after I'd finished
watching it, I agree with those who said that it was worth the wait.
For the first few episodes the female lead might irritate viewers who don't like childish character played by an adult actress. I've read more than a few comments who ditched the drama and criticized the actress because of this, but to me she was just playing her role. Stick with the drama and I think the FL will win you over. No complains regarding the ML, he's a complete package.
The love story is simple, but that is what makes it enjoyable. No heavy angst, prolong misunderstanding or that annoying pushing your loved one away for his/her own good that's so prevailing in Chinese drama. I also appreciate that the family relationship plays a big part in the drama too.

Loved it from start to finish. FYI only 29 episodes NOT 32!

Get tissues ready for the ending… just a fair warning! Last two episodes are tear jerkers but beautifully written and executed! This is a very realistic and heartwarming drama. Loved all of it.

Storyline - I could not find much fault with it. The only things I did not like was the FL would not let the ML explain anything. She always told him off and then ran away. I am glad that the break up was not drug out for to long and the parents were not to bad on not accepting their relationship. There was some but it was not overboard like most dramas are. Also, the love triangles were not bad either. My favorite part was the romance between the leads but also the father/daughter relationship. At first I thought it was going to be one of those where you have an over controlling father. But there are great surprises that make the relationship quit special.

Acting/Cast - I love Yang Zi! I first saw her in GO Go Squid and loved her in that one. She has become another actress that I enjoy watching. The cast was great.

Music - If you read my other reviews you will find I am a lover of music. When I first started watching this and listened to the instrumental music they played… I was in love! Again, as always, I will say… I pray I can find the OST on Amazon soon! It will be one I buy and listen to.

Rewatch - YES! Definitely! And I hope to buy it in the future. It is a great drama!

I love everything that Yang Zi and Xiao Zhan do in their acting career. The storyline was a perfect medical doctor and common girl romance. I can't say there was a competition between two women. Xiao Zhan's character knew what he wanted! I love when Yang Zi plays a character that is perky, that is just her! I loved the storyline. It is hard to lose someone you love to cancer. Been there and done that! I am so glad they didn't show the death of that character. The world is in a sad place already. There were no martial arts but that's okay this time. The actors/actresses who played the parents were astounding. All of the rest of the supporting actors/actresses played their parts well to tell this beautiful love story. I loved the visuals and there is one thing that I noticed... at the end I mean the very end where Xiao Zhan, Yang Zi's character was walking with their son, I remember my first Chinese Drama "Ashes of Love" the ending scene were similar. I will go back to watch that again for the 20th time.

Saya baru saja menyelesaikan menonton drama ini kemarin! Drama ini gila! Bagaimana bisa mereka membuat pernikahan yang tampak nyata seperti itu? 😭 Ini adalah mertama kali saya menonton C-Drama dengan pernikahan yang tampak benar-benar diadakan dengan pengantin pria yang sangat tampan dan pengantin wanita yang sangat cantik! Saya bahkan tidak percaya bahwa beberapa adegan kecil adalah hasil improvisasi pemeran utamanya! Termasuk teater kecil di akhir setiap episode yang sangat saya sukai ❤. Saya bahkan menjadi ragu apakah ini hanya akting atau benar-benar nyata? 😭 TOOL seperti drama dokumentasi ❤

Juga saya menyukai ide tentang bagaimana pasangan Gu-Lin dapat menyelesaikan kesalahpahamannya dalam waktu singkat disaat kebanyakan drama akan menghabiskan tiga atau lebih episode untuk satu masalah. Ini membuat saya tidak bosan menontonnya, atau merasa kesal karena masalah yang tidak berkesudahan.

Gu Wei adalah kekasih/suami idaman semua wanita! Saya sangat menyukai bagaimana dia memperlakukan Lin ZhiXiao. Tetapi jangan lupakan fakta bahwa pria itu juga manusia biasa. Tidak ada orang yang benar-benar sempurna, begitu pula, Gu Wei. Dia mungkin gagal menjadi pacar, tetapi dia berhasil menjadi teman, kakak, kekasih, suami dan ayah yang baik untuk keluarga kecilnya. Ah, dia juga menantu yang baik untuk mertuanya. Saya menyukai jawaban tegas yang diberikan Gu Wei pada Lin Laoshi. Pertemuan pertama memang gagal, tetapi pertemuan kedua ini sangat sangat berhasil! Gu Wei, selamat anda berhasil membuat saya dan bahkan mungkin semua penonton merasa iri dengan Lin ZhiXiao sama persis seperti harapanmu di lagu penutup TOOL 😭. Saya juga ingin mencari Gu Wei saya!!

Dan gadis kecil Pak Lin, Lin ZhiXiao. Dia mungkin gadis yang masih labil dan terlihat kekanakan, tetapi berusaha untuk memahami Gu Wei. Sepertinya banyak yang membenci karakter LZX pada episode-episode akhir karena sifatnya yang kejam, termasuk saya 🤣, tetapi saya tidak bisa membencinya😭 (Sepertinya karena saya sudah menyukai LZX sejak membaca novelnya) Entah itu LZX dalam novel atau drama, saya tetap menyukai keduanya! ❤ Terlebih lagi, beberapa sikap LZX sangat relate dengan kehidupan sehari-hari! Dan LZX juga sama seperti Gu Wei dan kami semua. Dia juga manusia biasa yang tidak sempurna. Saya juga tidak mengerti apa tujuan penulis skrip mengubah karakter LZX begitu besar 😭. Saya pernah membaca sebuah tweet yang sangat manis tentang ini, izinkan saya mengutipnya. "Jika LZX memiliki 100 ribu penggemar, saya adalah salah satunya. Akhirnya GW dan LZX berhasil melewati rintangan dalam kisah mereka. Membuat hubungan keduanya semakin erat dan bermakna. 💐

Saya tidak mengerti dengan ulasan yang memberikan bintang rendah di sini. Tetapi saya mengerti, setiap orang memiliki selera yang berbeda. Tapi, jika alasannya karena beberapa isu yang saya dengar dan baca dari media, itu sangat memalukan! Anda tidak bisa mengotori penilaian karya seni seperti itu. Anda bahkan tidak boleh menjadi pengamat dan penilai karya seni, jika memiliki sifat seperti itu.

Ini adalah drama modern pertama yang saya nanti-nanti sejak 3 tahun yang lalu. Sebenarnya, saya pribadi yang lebih menyukai drama kolosal daripada modern, tetapi entah mengapa drama Sumpah Cinta ini memang sangat berbeda (saya sudah tertarik ketika melihat trailer pertamanya). Saya juga membaca versi novel dari drama ini. Menurut saya versi novelnya memang sangat sederhana, jika anda membacanya, anda akan merasa seperti membaca sebuah diary. Sangat menarik tetapi juga sangat sederhana. Berbeda dengan drama yang dibuat lebih berwarna. Tentu saja! Jika dalam drama di buat sama seperti novel, kurasa tidak akan menarik. Anda akan bosan dengan drama yang terlalu sederhana. Itu sebabnya saya sangat mengapresiasi perubahan dalam naskah drama ini. Sangat luar biasa!

Anda tidak akan menyesal ketika mencoba untuk menonton drama ini! Saya katakan dengan jujur, pada ep 1/2 saya benar-benar menangis karena merasakan apa yang FL rasakan. Cerita kehidupannya sangat relevan dengan kehidupan banyak orang! Pada scene romantis ML dan FL, anda juga akan benar-benar merasa bahagia!

Jangan lupakan soundtrack musiknya! Ketika saya mendengar lagu pembuka dan penutup, itu seperti musik disney. Easy listening ❤

Xiao Zhan dan Yang Zi sangat berhasil membawakan karakter Gu Wei dan Lin ZhiXiao! Tentu juga semua aktor, aktris, sutradara dan kru yang terlibat. Mereka semua luar biasa! Chemistry keduanya sangat natural. Saya berharap dapat melihat XZ dan YZ berkolaborasi lagi dalam drama atau film yang lain! ❤💜

Mungkin kekurangan dalam drama ini hanya 1. Penulis naskah atau siapapun itu kurang detail dalam menampilkan profesi kedua tokoh utama. (Gu Wei sebagai Dokter dan Lin ZhiXiao sebagai Cellist)

Untuk overall, drama ini sangat sangat menarik dan tidak membosankan! Semoga ulasan ini membantu teman-teman yang ragu karena beberapa ulasan dan bintang yang rendah.
